So it's the laughter we'll remember whenever we remember the way we were...

I know. It's been waaay too long. I guess I just don't feel like updating when I'm home. Sorry!!!!

Break was great. I'm sad that it ended so soon... too soon. I worked a lot. I'd say I made about $600 when I was home... and I, of course, stupidly spent the majority of it. Even better, now i have no money for my books. Go me.

I had my first day of classes yesterday. Stats at 8:30, History at 9:30, Spanish at 1:30, and Newswriting and Reporting at 5:30. I liked most of my classes. Stats shouldn't be too bad, I know what to expect in history, spanish is fun with Emma and Joe, and Newswriting and Reporting will be worth the money I spent. I'm sure I'm going to learn a lot from Dr.Wilkins. I know that it will be difficult and challenging and probably pretty frustrating... but I'll just keep reminding myself that it will be equally rewarding in the end. :)

Today I had two classes: Writing for Lit. at 8:30 and Cath/Fran at 10:00. I'm taking Dr. Simpson for Writing for Lit and he's an extremely interesting person. I think I' mgoing to enjoy that class and his teaching style. It's kind of weird, though. There are no tests in his class, not even a final. My entire grade will be based on six writing pieces. I don't know if I'm happy about that or not.

10:00 was Cath/Fran. I stopped down to see Dr. Abraham first because I hadn't seen her since I'd been back yet. She's most definitely one of my favorite professors of all time, if not THE favorite. She's tough and firm but extremely understanding and sympathetic. She's one of those professors that just demands respect and top-notch effort without asking for it.  THe class sounds challenging but extremely intriguing which is the perfect mix. I'm excited.

I was assigned a story from the BV already. I'm happy about it, but it was pretty short notic.e It's a story on the daughter of two alumns. The daughter, Emily, was on the Bravo show, Top Chef. I had to call the alumni office to get the parents' number, and I lucked out because emily is recovering from back surgery right now and is staying with her mother. So I got to talk to her mother AND I got to conduct an over-the-phone interview with emily herself. :) I just can't figure out how I want to approach the actual story. I can't find a good lede... and a good lede is pivotal.

I really need to start my work now. I have stats homework, the story to finish, and Dr. Denny's assignment. I'd like to finish a chunk of it before I go to the gym at four. :X

I'll update again soon. :) later
