So a couple of weeks ago there was a huge YA literature convention thingy at the University of Kentucky. I, sadly, did not get to go. My friend? Got to hang out with John Green for hours.

My sister is engaged, y'all!!!

Apparently she tried to send me a cell-phone pic of the ring, but my phone refused to download it like a punk. So I called her back and was appropriately shrill and squealy, although I had to admit that I knew it was going to happen. ;) I am just ridiculously happy for her and Jim.

Okay.

So I saw the Decemberists on Friday night with Lisa, Elizabeth, Rachel, and Jenny. Yes, it has been awhile, but that's because only now am I beginning to process it.

Oh my god, I love this band. There is no font large or sparkly enough to express that, so I won't actually try, because I hate rich-text format anyway.
