I should not go to the dining hall when I know I'm PMSing. And as soon as I saw that it was a special night in the South Green dining hall, I should have just gone right past to East Green or something. That way I wouldn't have had to put up with the "black tie" night, which was an organizational disaster. They were out of chicken, so I had mediocre steak and dry cheese cubes and apple pie that was just subtly off. And all I wanted--the only reason I actually showed up at the dining hall instead of getting food to go--was glass of milk. And instead they had a fake bar set up with pop and water. On the plus side, they had a pianist who was really good. And then some asshole went out the back door, purposely ignoring the prominent THIS IS A FIREDOOR, FUCKTARD* sign on it. And who was sitting right next to the door? Yep. So everybody immediately looked in my direction and of course I just love that.
I have an astronomy test tomorrow, and we didn't go over the study guide today, so the answers I can't find in the book or my somewhat incomplete notes I'll have to make up out of my head or something. There's always teh intarwebz, I guess. But the time I spend studying for this is time I'm not spending drafting my short story or working on my Latin presentation. I really, really shouldn't be going home this weekend, and if I didn't have a doctor's appointment I'd honestly cancel. Work never gets done when I'm home. However, Warcraft won't get done at home either, so maybe that's something.
I shouldn't watch the Olympics, either, but for a different reason. Just the gorram Olympic theme (I don't even know what the piece is called) chokes me up. The first free skater, Silvia Fontana, had me in tears. Happy tears, yes, but I am just a wishy little mess right now. :) They're doing men's aerial skiing now, so less with the tears and more with the OMGWTF PLZ DON'T DIEEEEE. It's like the vault in gymnastics, only five million times scarier. But I kind of wish they'd get back to the skaters.
Ooooh, US/Britain curling rematch for bronze tomorrow. I'm going to have to tape it--there's no way I'm actually getting up at 7 to watch it. ;)
*It does not actually say "fucktard" on it. But if I'd had a pen with me, it would now.
