Sin City & the County Fair

It is much too early for me to be awake, since I went to bed after 2am but oh well.  I'm a terrible sleeper.  :(

Last night I watched Sin City for the first time ever.  What an awesome movie!  Definitely a thinking movie, that is for sure!  I particularily liked Clive Owen's character but then again, I particularily like Clive Owen.  ;)  Also, I'm not a Jessica Alba fan, but she did a good job and man, can that woman move!  Bruce Willis was fantastic, as always.  Gotta love them actors!

Seriously though, I bought it not totally sure what to expect: I knew it was black and white, I knew it was based on Frank Miller's graphic novel but really...what the hell does that actually mean to me?  Not a whole hell of a lot.  But, I'm happy that I bought it, now that I've seen it.  :)

Last night me, three of my girl friends, and my fiancee went to the County Fair.  There really isn't a damn thing 'special' about it and quite frankly, it really does suck.  But it was fun.  I went on the Gravitron with one of my friends and now we know exactly why we can't go on it anymore.  I don't handle spinning rides very well anymore.  Then what did I do?  Went on the Kamikaze next (fricking fun ride, even better drink :)).  It's a ride that spins really fast, up and down so that you're upside down for part of the time.  Aside from the fleeting thought that if anything happened to this ride while I was on it, us four girls would be dead, I had a blast.  :)  It's so good to see them and just laugh and gossip with them.  Then, of course, we see people we graduated with: people we haven't seen in three and a half years.  It was fucking fun.

In other news, I'm hoping Lina will be able to get back to me with the next chapter of "White Noise."  I'll understand if she doesn't though: she's going through a rough time.  And I'm just glad she's beta-ing it at all: Thank you so much for all your help and kindness, Lina!

And, with that, I'm going to end this rather rambling entry.

Have a good day, everyone!
