Checkmated!
Checkmated is without a doubt, one of the best run, most loved sites on the internet.
Every morning I work, I get up at least two hours before I have to be work, just so I can see what's new on Checkmated, to see what I missed when I was sleeping. I would call myself pathetic, but I know what a wonderful site it is, compared to other sites on the internet which aren't as well run and have a larger following.
I found Checkmated by accident, really. I was on SugarQuill (which is another fabulous site) looking at Ron/Hermione fanfiction and wandered into the forums there and somehow, I ended up at Checkmated and have since made my home there. It's a wonderful place where everyone can feel safe and have opinions as long as they don't abuse the rules. It's awesome.
Seriously though, I've seen other websites, go to other websites regularly, and it's just not the same. There are rules, but no one follows them. The mods aren't there to help: they just like the title. It's not well done. I think all of us Checkmateders are spoiled rotten. :)
