Glee 206 Never Been Kissed

Dear Mr. Shue:

You're supposed to be one of the good guys and that doesn't mean pointing out to Kurt that he's not handling the bullying as well as he usually does. Being one of the good guys means STOPPING THE FUCKING BULLYING!

Oh and how nice a pity kiss from you clears up all the heartache that comes from not falling within the gender norms. Asshole.

Dear Kurt:

I guess the lesson you learned this week was that the people in power are no help at all, that you have to get through this on your own. Literally on your own, since that whole safety in numbers thing some of the glee club used to have going (that got many of us through high school)seems to have fallen by the wayside.

Courage, darling boy.

Dear Artie:

Do not take cool lessons from Puck. Okay, you suck at that whole relationship thing but you're a teenage boy, that's expected.

Dear Puck:

Yeah, your life sucks. No one understands you. Your father ran off when you were a kid. I'm having trouble working up a lot of sympathy here.

love, but no sympathy
me

Dear Sam:

I'm all in favour of you being mostly naked in every episode so far this season because I'm a dirty old lady and you have a very nice torso. Yes, I'm objectifying you, but I think I'm supposed to.

Dear People Who Think Blaine Should Have Kissed Kurt on the Stairs:

No. Because that would have made it the same kiss Mr. Asshole gave Coach Bieste. A pity kiss. The first time Blaine kisses Kurt it should NOT be a pity kiss. It should be a curls his hair, knocks his socks off, I totally want you kind of kiss.

So I'm wondering if yelling "You're just repressing your gay, I saw it on Glee!" when some neanderthal slams you into the lockers would get said neanderthals to leave you alone for fear of being called gay because they're bullies? Or if it would get the shit kicked out of you the moment you were off school grounds?

Recognising that the whole Coach Biest as a "cooler" is pretty much exactly what teenagers might do -- how the hell would they know how damaged she is? -- I loved that Tina used it instead of Mike.

glee, i'm generally fairly cheerful myself, episode
