Drabble!
I don't think I've ever been this ambivalent about a new season of Supernatural. As I've said before, if the show was a book, I'd have read the end around the middle of last season just to make sure it was going somewhere worth my emotional investment. That said, and given the afore mentioned emotional investment...

Reunion
"Every moment of every fucking day, I remembered my brother was in Hell. What part of a normal life is that?"
Sprawled on the ground, Sam touched his bleeding lip. "I thought..."
"No, you didn't think! You wanted me to have normal," Dean snarled, "then I needed to know you were safe and you needed to get a fucking normal life of your own!"
"Normal?" Sam's laugh had shadowed edges. "I can't be normal."
Dean rubbed his knuckles where Sam's teeth had split the skin, closed his eyes, and thought of how hard he'd tried. "Funny that, neither can I."
