I AGREE. I feel like I need to lay *my* weary head to rest; I am not loving this confused and resentful feeling Kripke has dumped on me.
I knew it was a bad sign, actually, when I deleted every single episode except for The Song Remains the Same from my DVR a month ago. There has basically been nothing about this season worth hanging on to in terms of emotional satisfaction (ie, the reason I watch this stupid show), and that depresses me.
I think one of the things that's starting to piss me off, is that they've mixed two innocents up in the mess that's life with the Winchesters. If Dean's life with Lisa and Ben lasts much past dessert, there is NO WAY that can end well and TPTB have to know they're setting up a clusterfuck of epic proportions. That's either "oh look how clever we are at messing up lives" or so short sighted it's insulting. Either way...
I'm willing to give Kripke a variable definition of satisfying -- in that you can't please all the people all the time and sometimes you can only please yourself -- but putting Sam under that light made that in no way, shape, or form, any kind of an ending.

LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE!!!!!!
Of course, the story isn't done yet. But yeah, that was The Big Event?!? It was so anti-climactic, didn't have any omph to it at all.
And now Dean is living the Apple Pie life? No way can that end well. :(
I'm still reserving judgment, but they've got alot to answer for.
