The Turk isn't Skynet, it's John Henry! Derek, sweetie, you almost blew it given the "your John my John" statement. Oh and DEREK! Way, way back, many years and at least two Chicago worldcons ago, there was a pen and ink drawing in the art show of ET touching Spock's coffin and the caption read: In science fiction, nobody dies.

And the wonderful parallels with T1! The gunshop, and Cameron's eye, and I really wanted someone to say, "We've got thirty cops in this building."
The beloved and I spent some time after the show joining the dots (and eating pie -- we NEEDED pie). I'm not going to do it here because time travel gives me migranes (and the pie would get into the keyboard) but there were a lot of dots.
We watched the US feed because that gave us the extended trailer for the movie.
