Taking time out from my satire-based Todd Bertuzzi series to get caught up:

R.I.P. Richard Pryor

Sunday afternoon at the bar, we did a shot of Aftershock in his honor. I can honestly say that not many people have made me laugh as much as Richard Pryor did. He will be missed.

Work Update

That's right, work update. I actually got a job! I'm working a sales/customer service position at Checks Unlimited. It's only part-time, but it beats being unemployed. The pay is decent and there is opportunity for bonus as well. Right now, I'm in new-hire class. If anyone is interested, they are hiring for another new-hire class to begin in January. If so, let me know.

Fantasy Update

Most of the season, mainly due to injuries and the Terrell Owens fiasco, I had to basically patch together a fantasy football lineup, and eventually, it did catch up to me, as I had a three-game losing streak. However, I did manage to pull out a two game winning streak at the end to squeak into the playoffs as the last seed. This put me up in the wildcard round against a guy I've never beaten before, and things didn't look too good. But somehow, I managed to patch together a winning lineup and starting tomorrow, I'm playing the number one seed in the second round. Wish me luck, I'll need it!

As for my fantasy hockey lineup, well, let's just say that despite starting off 4-0, drafting a team full of players I didn't really want has caught up with me. I am now on a 6-game losing streak, and am getting my ass kicked in my present game. I've tried tweaking my lineup with top-ranked free agent's, playing my bench guys, and nothing has worked. I've resorted to posting my Bertuzzi letters on the league website just to keep the season interesting for me.

In the meantime, stay tuned for more Todd Bertuzzi letters, I have plenty of things planned for him.
