Worse than the sickness, worse than losing his powers and then practically freezing -how the hell did people stand being that cold all the time- Pyro was fast developing a hatred for the medical facility and its security, or lack of. He came out of the place in worse shape than he went in

He trails off at the sight of Pyro's injuries though. He had no idea, there had been no report or information about Pyro receiving these injuries and that sets alarm bells off. Reaching past Pyro he opens his office door and waits for Pyro to enter. "Have a seat."
This time though Ethan is gesturing to the comfortable seating rather than the formal office chairs.

"Um, yeah." He doesn't know which of Sykes' questions he's answering, the everything alright or the want to see-. It was probably the second one. "I'm not actually sure."
He didn't actually feel like himself. It was like that cold, hard realisation while he was sick that he really was just a stupid little kid and that was bad news around here. "I don't think so though." He knew he wasn't making sense, but he was trying to convey that things weren't okay.

But still, as much as Ethan might feel like he's banging his head against the wall with the likes of St John, he knows that Mac thinks the kid is alright.
"What happened?" Ethan sets his mug of coffee down onto the table, elbows braced on his knees as he studies Pyro, cataloguing the injuries he can see and starting to put a few ideas together of who could have done this.

"Um," and my God, he had a better vocabulary than this. "There might've been a fight. There also might've been a few threats." Again. "I'm not sure. About the threats. I'm pretty sure about the fight." Oh, fuck it. He took a sip of the bourbon. And then another, because fuck he needed to at least get the words out.
"I ah, I got sick, but I don't think it would've really made a difference anyway. He keeps going for the rib cage." And Pyro's got a whole lot of interesting bruises under his shirt.

"Just take your time, when did it happen? Who did you fight with?" Ethan's careful not to force any words into Allerdyce's mouth and if he doesn't want to disclose anything then that is fine. This time it's going to be on Pyro's terms and if he wants to drop a certain person in the shit then that's alright. Ethan is willing to wait.
"I gather you've had the cure though?" Ethan's tempted to press his hand to his forehead and check if Pyro is running a fever but there's no point. Not when the gesture might freak him out more.

It's so close, the admission that Jack is responsible for the attacks on Allerdyce but until the kid says the words Ethan doesn't want to push it too far. Instead he listens, taking note and become more and more angry at the details that Pyro is revealing.
"There is only so much I can do Allerdyce without you giving the information to me, with names and specifics, so I can make sure he gets given hell for what he's done." Ethan's tempted to add that he'll be speaking to Jack and making it perfectly clear that next time he dares to go near Pyro it'll be Ethan's weapon that Jack will have to face down.
"Did you want something else to drink?"

Finally though Ethan gets what he needs, Pyro giving the specifics, a name and an acqusation. Though that said Ethan would have been checking the security footage from the hospital, seeing what time Hendley entered the building and evidence on the records of whether Allerdyce had these injuries prior to his admission.
Leaning back in his chair Ethan watches as Allerdyce paces, poor kid must be going crazy and Ethan can't help but feel partially responsible. When he finds Jack he's going to make sure he learns a lesson.
"Allerdyce, tell me... confirm for me that this physical attack wasn't the first time Hendley has tried to injure you in some way. Is it?"

Waiting till the door clicked shut, Ethan lowered his head to his desk and repeatedly bash it against the wooden surface. Maybe Ethan would get lucky and Pyro would successfully drown himself in the bathroom sink. Though that said the sheer quantity of paperwork he'd have to fill in would be horrific.
