Having your powers drained by someone you consider to be more like a sister than a friend is annoying but live-able. It was an accident and Ric doesn't blame Rogue in the slightest, anyway he lived and really wasn't all that bothered by the consequential trip to hospital (he was unconscious at that part), transfer back to the base (awake by this

"Should you be talking to someone else? Don't think the boy would be impressed, dearest Rictor, of your verse." It's not as if she minds, of course, but really. Ric should be resting, he's been through so much, and Phe is now placed under house arrest.
"What are you doing, or what are you wearing? She can't get a good image, so paint it for her."

But yes, perhaps Phe does have a point. Ric isn't in the best of shapes but then again he's been out of the loop for a few days now that he's not aware of the drama and level of camp lock down that is taking place.
"I'm sat in bed in the medical centre and currently I am sporting a rather attractive pair of blue scrub pants and a hoody because I'm feeling a little under the weather." His voice is a croaky and hoarse and there has been some coughing but mostly Ric has been confined to bed and told to rest so he has no idea how far along in the sickness he really is.
Actually he's tempted to google it and see whether there is anything about it online. "So what are you wearing baby?" Ric sniffles as he boots up the laptop. "And what are you doing

Now that she's got the image of him, she'll talk to her imaginary Ric, swaddled up in bed. "I am wearing a night shirt." It's an old style night shirt, with the long sleeves and the ruffled collar, it goes to her knees and happens to be a little old. "And socks." That go all the way up her legs to her thighs. It's not that Phe gets overly cold, it's just that she has an odd sense of dress.
"Been thinking about decorating. Want the wall to tell a story, not too sure if that's allowed. I'd ask a question to get the answer, but sometimes it's better left ignored." And if she's told no, but gets bored and does it anyway, well she'll get into trouble and the chance of the brig does not sit well with a contact needy empath.

"Decorating huh? Well I doubt that anyone is going to kick up a fuss whilst we're all on lock down hmmm?" Ric fluffs the pillows behind him and settles back as he types in his log-on and waits for the screen to load up.
"So what's been going on out there then whilst I've been in here? Any idea why we've all been put under lock down? Because this pack is giving me nothing sweetheart." There is the taping of keyboard keys as Ric starts to google and search up on the sickness. He's no computer whizz but he's quite happily clicking away at the internet, he might send an email to his Mama, check up on the latest news and search out some porn to cheer him up.

"The wall can be red, instead of white, and we'll put up a banner to catch some light. But I need some paint, because blood won't do." Really, she could've done that about five years ago and not bothered, but now it wasn't an option because she was getting so much better at managing other peoples psychosis.
"Folks got sick and then got worse, seems to be a bit of a curse." For the most part, all Phe understood was that people were ill, and powers were failing, and she was one of the lucky few who didn't have that problem. Instead, she just felt everyone else's agony and sickness and spent a few hours vomiting thanks to it.
"You passed out and never came to, so they flew you in there and tested it for you. Apparently you're sick, but so is the girl, and don't fret none about it, because it's spreaded right

Ric gets distracted by a news report about some celebrity dating someone else, listening to Phe talk as he scrolls through it and missing the smaller article about the devastating spread of disease across Europe. "Well at least you're alright and Mark too by the sounds of it. And I won't get the blame for bringing it into camp if it's already amongst everyone else because I've not been out and about."
There goes Ric thinking of others. "Well I'll be out of here in no time I bet."

While Ric gets distracted, Ophelia does the same, accidentally smudging the polish on her big toe, dropping the phone in an attempt to clean it up before picking up the phone again. "Twist isn't about, probably gone for the day. Likely dealing with the trip and the things that you say."
Although, Phe wouldn't mind a little visit. "Not from you, it's from outside. The boss thinks Europe, but that's a guess not a guide."

"Give him a kiss and keep an eye on him when he does show up." There is no doubt in Ric's mind that Martini would eventually roam despite the lock down, though he's hopeful that he'll keep out of trouble and pester Ophelia more than anything else. But that's probably a little too much hoping.
"Europe huh?" Ric taps away at the keys and changes the search parameters, surprised by some of the results that come up. He clicks on one and waits for it to load. "Sounds like that bird-flu shit that was going around." Ric starts to read some of the information, forehead creasing in a frown at what is being said. "Hey Phe, don't suppose they've anyone has said anything about powers being muted out?"
Reply
"Bird flu maybe, but it's not just the birds. It's taking out animals and leaving the herds. Only the mutants, it's not hitting humans, a bit of a strange and abnormal predicament." Phe has paid a little attention, she knows the basics -mutants only disease, taking people down pretty fast with severe flu symptoms, rending a lot of the mutants just a little more than useless.
"Don't know about that, but Phe's still got hers, feeling and stealing like she's smelling the flowers." Because Ophelia could still feel the people above and below her and even in the other building. "What's pulling your ear, Bric?"

"Well, the cuckoo flies in, and the mockingbird is out. So just wait for the magpie and then give a shout." Frankly, if things got overly serious, Ophelia would be at Rictor's bedside regardless of what anyone said about quarantine. And if they argued she wouldn't stop until they puked up their stomach.
"Can they tell if you'll give it away? Or do you have it there to stay? It's just so boring all here alone. She's going to bash her head until she's prone." Although it would be drastic measures really.

"I'm guessing until you guys are all checked out you aren't allowed to mingle. Well why don't you give them a call on the phone and talk, I bet some of them are just as bored as you are." Ric shuts the laptop, leaving the sites all up and running but no longer having any urge to look at them. Well at least not until he's not got Ophelia on the phone.
"I bet this will all blow over before you know it Phe and we'll be laughing at the stupidity of it all."
Reply
"Can't call and talk, it's not nearly the same. Half of them can't even recalled Ophelia's name." Most of the time, Phe didn't really mind talking to people that didn't know her. But she had that face to face attempt, she could read them and get a grasp of things.
Over the phone, her powers didn't work.
"Maybe take up with Charlotte, the Captain can't complain. Not like there's anything else to gain."

At that moment a nurse comes in and starts to flick through his chart, with a sigh Ric peers at her from under his arm. "I gotta go be poked and prodded Phe, I'll call you later. Keep out of trouble princess."
