Here's a quarter, call someone who cares - OTA

Having your powers drained by someone you consider to be more like a sister than a friend is annoying but live-able. It was an accident and Ric doesn't blame Rogue in the slightest, anyway he lived and really wasn't all that bothered by the consequential trip to hospital (he was unconscious at that part), transfer back to the base (awake by this point though) and being admitted to the medical center (not too happy about this aspect). Ric has come to think of that place as a second home in some respects but he's more than happy to be told that he'll be discharged shortly once he's had a routine blood test.

Flicking through the pack that Ric has been handed by the staff he starts to read and realize that whilst he's been confined to a bed for rest that there has been drama going on in camp. And then the nurse returns looking a lot more solemn and wearing a face mask. The next ten minutes pass in a blur but at the end Ric finds himself back in his room and hooked up to a drip. Sure he's been feeling a little drained and under the weather but he just assumed that was the side effect of his powers being absorbed by Rogue but apparently not.

He's got the laptop discarded on the bedside table and instead is sat working his way at random through the extension numbers given in the pack randomly calling up anyone and seeing if they're willing to chat. It's a long shot but Ric is easily amused.

Even more so when he starts serenading whoever picks up.

"I've been alone with you inside my mind  and in my dreams I've kissed your lips a thousand times. I sometimes see you pass outside my door. Hello, is it me you're looking for?"
