After the debacle that was the camp invasion, Lorna had been keeping a low profile. She and Olivia had been moved into a room in the other building while the damage to theirs was getting fixed -and Lorna was glad, really. A hole in the wall probably wasn't the best in the world to be living with. She also wasn't sure if she wanted to go back to

Since the attack, Emma hadn't really had the chance to check up on people -on Rictor or Lorna or anyone really. She felt a little guilty, calling Lorna out here only for this to happen, but from what she'd heard, Lorna had handled herself very well, even to the point of pushing herself past her usual power level. Something that Emma was very proud of.
Taking a seat beside Lorna, Emma sighed softly. "How're you doing, dearest?"

It's the best way Lorna can describe it, thinking at Emma. Either way, it was a call and Emma hadn't heard it. "Are things okay? I mean, this is all a little intense, Emma. I mean, Miss Frost. I mean, ma'am."
Lorna was losing track of where she was going with this.

"It was scary. Middle of the night, didn't know what was going on. Going to freaking war in my PJs?" She must've looked so intimidating in her cute little shorts and tank top. "We did okay though."

Lorna was still struggling with why she was there, but surely Emma knew what she was doing. "You must be so busy, is the Captain okay? Did things go smoothly?"

Seeing the one with the pretty green hair, Martini was observant enough to realize she had a lot on her mind. He tilted his head curiously as he approached her. There would be no getting sidetracked today. He was determined to stay focused, even if he found the current time to be as dull as dirt. "Penny for your thoughts?" He pulled an actual one out of his pocket and flipped it at Lorna.

It wasn't like she'd gotten off to the best start with the time-walker or whatever he was. But surely, if anyone knew anything, it should be him? And he wasn't poking her to see if she was real, so maybe she'd be able to get some answers. "It's just so much, I'm not sure, I just...It's mental." All her vocabulary, and that's what she comes out with.

"It's always this way. Sometimes it's even worse." Martini didn't even think of softening the blow such words might carry. Indeed, he said them almost cheerfully. He liked the way things were now. It was less crazy and more structured than they had been.

"I'm not sure I'm up for this." Turning the penny over in her hands, Lorna ran her thumb over the face there. "It's a bit much, isn't it? I mean, I'm not used to this, I've never done this before. I don't even know if I can take it."
