9 days. That's the first thing she realized when she awoke screaming. She'd been out cold for over a week. And, as if that wasn't enough, she was unable to remember any outright use of her powers while she'd been in the camp. But, if the feeling in the pit of her stomach was any indication? It was far from good. The last time anything like this had

"Like I just blew up the entire base. Uh, Sir." She adds the formality apologetically, having remembered that he's a superior officer. "Why are you here?"
In her mind it's a perfectly reasonable question, seeing as she remembers next to nothing right now and she's almost hoping he has the answers.

He doesn't mind the questioning, he gets that it might not seem all that logical for a person of his position to come and check up on the team but this is no ordinary team and these are no ordinary circumstances.
"Collins, how much do you remember of what actually brought you to the med bay?" Ethan isn't about to play all his cards, he's got a good poker face when he needs it and right now, trying to read him is like trying to read a sheet of ice.

"Uh, I- I don't remember a thing." Pausing to think about it further, she decides to lay out all of her cards on the table in the spirit of sharing. And, for reasons she can't quite comprehend, she feels compelled to explain herself. "Well, pieces. I got pieces. A man coming towards me, a tree, arguing... flyin' back. I remember yelling."

There was a woman in there which gave him pause. An attractive woman who seemed to be unconscious, no less. Oh, this was just too perfect. She might as well have been gift-wrapped and had a bow on top of her head. Daken crept to her bedside without even a single squeak from his shoes to give away his presence. The wolf had found himself a lost little lamb.

What Daken didn't realize was that the second he touched her, she'd wake up.

His hands moved delicately, hovering just above her skin. Ah, where to make the first mark, now that was key. His two foreclaws broke through his skin as he paused at the throat. Yes, that would do just fine, especially if the dumb bitch woke up. Daken pressed his claws lightly down upon the unmarked skin. It wouldn't stay that way for long.

The monitors above her head beeped as her pulse went from a steady resting rhythm to a faster beat. Her fingers twitched as she met Daken's eyes. If he was looking for fear, he wasn't going to find it. Just very willful defiance.
"Can I help you?"

He'd been to see her five times over the nine days, worrying just a little. But she'd said it took a lot out of her, and he could understand that. He contented himself with just asking the nurses if anything had changed. His demeanour probably helped his cause when they just smiled at him and told him the basics.
She was just resting, she was just exhausted, it would just take some time.
He'd just come in to see if there'd been any change since the last time he'd been in, holding a cup of coffee from the mess hall in his hand when he noticed she was awake. "You're awake." It was possibly the most obvious thing to say in the world, but really, nothing else sprang to mind.

With newfound strength, she managed to prop herself up on shaky arms and lifted her head to smile warmly at Spencer.
"I think I've died and gone to heaven."

He knew that she'd be tired; the amount of power she supposedly released she'd be sore for a while too Spencer guessed. Most of his theories were coming from his own experiences with his powers, but it was pretty simple to work out from what Haylie had told him.
Placing the cup on the small tray to the side of the bed, Spencer carefully leaned on the edge of her bed, watching her.

Haylie's arms shook more as she pushed her body forward slightly, swinging her legs off the side of the bed and sitting up more. This took a little more out of her than she expected and as she tried to stand up, fell forward.
