Much like back in Japan there are a line of
Humvees awaiting the team at the airport, which they are quickly ushered into and their bags - apart from their carry-ons - are loaded into a separate truck. It's about three in the afternoon as the trucks depart the airport and make the hour journey to their new camp.
The vehicles pull up alongside the

"Your uniforms and all military issued equipment has already been placed into your rooms. All extra personal effects must be placed into the military issue hold-all sacks that you will find in your wardrobes. These will be collected tomorrow at 12:00 hours and will be locked into the safe keeping room. You will only be allowed access to your extra personal effects with written permission granted by Miss Frost, Major Stryker or Captain Sykes. Please be aware that you can only wear military issue clothing on site."
Handing out a small booklet to each of the group the Cadet didn't smile but he certainly seemed more approachable than the General. "Please read through these and sign to say you have accepted the rules of the camp. When we collect in your spare personal effects we will also be taking the back sheet of this booklet with your signature. Welcome to Fort Wenchee, you are free for the rest of the afternoon to settle in now."

"What's this, a fuckin' travel brochure?"

Of course, that made no difference to some people...
"Victor..." Logan stepped between his brother and the captain, his back towards the latter. Authority wouldn't help Sykes if Victor decided to play guitar on the guy's entrails. Saying nothing more, Logan just looked at his brother, willing him to calm down. They knew this, dammit - they'd had to deal with stuck-up assholes who didn't deserve their rank before. Not that Logan knew if Sykes was one of those captains, but he wouldn't be surprised. Few people were higher in rank than Victor and him, going by the laws of nature.

"Perhaps the cadet didn't make it clear enough to you Creed. It is not a travel brochure but a reference book in regards to guidelines and rules of Fort Wenachee. I wasn't aware that you had issues with your literacy, would you like me to look into signing you up to some classes?"
Ethan wasn't worried though, his skin was impenetrable - tests of all kinds of weapons had taken place and he wasn't foolish enough to confront Victor without allowing his mutation to kick into place. He wasn't about to reveal that to either of them though.

After throwing a sidelong glare at Logan - damn it, he didn't need his brother to fight all of his battles for him! - the feral's reply to Sykes with a vicious growl, and he made sure he gave the captain another clear view of those sharp fangs as he answered. He didn't have any idea as to the true nature of the man's mutation, and he was hoping - as he usually did - that his brute strength and sheer presence would at least draw some kind of cowed reaction from the man. Finding none - not even a flicker of emotion crossed Sykes' face - Victor gave another low growl, eager to provoke at least some kind of reaction.
"Don't mean I gotta like it." He punctuated that remark with another gob of saliva, spitting once more on the floor in front of Sykes. Then he drew himself to his full height and puffed out his chest, just like a territorial tomcat trying to make himself seem as big and imposing as possible. The camp was his, just like it always had been, and he'd lord it over the place as much as he wanted, his size, brute strength and abilities allowing him to - quite literally - get away with murder. He wasn't gonna let some little snot-nosed kid of a mutant tell him what to do. "An' I ain't takin' orders from a goddamn kid. I was tearin' people apart with my bare hands when you weren't even a glint in the postman's eye."

Feeling confident enough that no immediate danger was to be expected, Logan turned to glare over his shoulder at Sykes. It was gonna be like that, huh? Expecting your orders to be followed was one thing, but Logan had no respect for officers who were bullies. Asking for it that way was just plain stupid, and it always bit you in the ass sooner or later. Maybe people wouldn't feel like covering you in battle all that much.
Maybe people wouldn't feel like protecting your sorry ass from their fellow soldiers, either.
Logan should just leave Victor to it, really, but sadly that wasn't something he could do. Growling softly - at the confrontation in general, more than either one of the participants - he clenched his teeth and looked at Victor, tilting his head slightly, the suggestion of shaking it.

"Age is but a number apparently Creed but if you want this so called kid, who is still your superior, can look into a zimmer frame or elderly residences for you?" That's right, you want to pull the age routine with Ethan then he'll just make sure you know your place. "Unless you'd rather drop and give me fifty I'd advise that you watch what you say to me soldier. You've had it too easy lately Victor and it's starting to show."
He knows all about your antics too Victor, he's read the files. Yours too Logan.
