'And don't you think 'bout running, brat' the most memorable thing about it all had been his disgusting breath. She hated when they were so tall they could lift her off the damn ground. The assholes could've just cuffed her. Instead they nearly ruined her favourite jacket, just to prove a point?
Yeah, they could dangle her from their big, meaty hands. She could blind them with the snap of her fingers.
At least she could've until the put these damn cuffs right over her hands and snapping her wrists together. Great, she'd thought, busted for one stupid heist. It wasn't like she'd never been caught, she'd just usually been able to get away. The smoke bomb through the door of the hotel had stopped her managing that this time.
And so, she sat in a stupid, cold cell and waited. 'Wait til the boss gets this one,' oh, it was all so hilarious, 'filthy mutie' at least she knew who to blind the first time she broke out.
The fact that she was still in Japan, that they had left her backpack beside her but kept her hands locked up, it told her that it wasn't the job she'd been snagged on. This wasn't because she stole some stupid gem for Shaw. This was about her being a mutant. Which was just as good as being nabbed for thieving.
"This blows." Even with the added sound of a commotion around her; the walls weren't thick enough to stop her hearing the activity outside, Jubilation was getting impatient waiting for 'the boss' to get around to her.
