Nicky sighed a little when he saw Jack shaking his head. "Again Jack?" He wasn't sure what to make of his friend's inability to keep himself safe. He knew he was a mutant hunter and had survived a long time but he wasn't sure how.

"You need to see one of the doctors."

Jack winked his bad eye at Nicky. Indeed, the boy was right. Perhaps his unconscious seeking of his own death was leading him to take unnecessary risks, in the hopes it would his undoing. Or maybe he was just an old man who was getting too slow for this line of work. "What can I say, kid? I'm a glutton for punishment."

"You got to be more careful,"he shook his head. He really wished he would be more careful he didn't want to have to see Jack's body one day.

"Want me to go with you?"

Jack shrugged. Nicky had a point. The hunter just had the self-preservation skills of an intoxicated lemming.

"Nah, I'll be fine." He knew the boy wasn't a fan of the medical bay

"Ok Jack,"he nodded. He didn't like the medical bay but he would have toughed it out for him.

"I won't be in there as long as last time." Jack wasn't a doctor, but he knew his own body's strengths and weaknesses better than anyone.

There was a kind look on his face as he headed for the medical bay. "Come find me after I get out. I never did teach you how to throw a knife properly."

He nodded watching Jack head toward the med bay,"Ok Jack. I'll find you then."

Nicky smiled getting a little excited by the idea of learning how to use his knife better.
