"Jack! Are you alright?" she asked, looking over him, muting her concern a little. It wasn't proper. "Are you get hurt?"

"Only a little. You should see the other guy." It might have sounded like a joke, except Jack's tone was too serious. As far as he was concerned, this had been a success, if for no other reason he was still alive.

Worry flooded her. She didn't know or understand Jack's reputation like the others did. He'd been kind to her, at least in her opinion, and that was worth it's weight in gold.

"Don't worry too much. I've been through a lot worse, and yet here I stand." With a blind eye, clothes with acid-burnt holes in them, and small burns covering his torso. But hey, it was better looking than he had been after many of his hunts, including the last one.

She looked him over again and glanced down the hall to the med bay. "You really should. They'll have something for you, I'm sure."

"Oh, if I can help it, I will." she murmured, her smile a little tight as she brushed a few stray curls from her face. "I won't seek it out, trust me." she promised, sighing softly as she nodded. She didn't want any more trouble. She had enough as it was.
