Being seventeen again sucks. [OTA, MASSIVE NUDGE to the ferals (Vic, Logan, Laura, Nicky)]

Dec 03, 2009 21:29

He wasn't liking the whole being younger thing. The hormones were enough to kill a man when he wasn't a teenager again. At least the first go-round, he'd assumed he'd always be like that and kept it under wraps. And he was around other seventeen year olds. Now, he was around a crapload of small children and women who felt skeezy when he flirted ( Read more... )

Nicky leaned against the wall listening to the music. He'd never really heard anything like it before but there was a lot he hadn't heard before. He wasn't sure if the other man wanted to be interrupted or not so he stayed silent just watching.

Razi didn't hesitate to interrupt though and the large puppy ran over barking at the sounds.

Brian played softly, not really bothering to play anything he knew, just putting notes together cohesively. That changed when there was barking coming barreling toward him.

He immediately set aside his bass and greeted the dog with a surprised, happy face. "Hey doggie!" He reached down and pet the wriggling dog, excited as only dog lovers can be. "Oh my god who's cute?" He batted at the dog for a moment then looked around, seeing the man standing there near the wall.

"Is he yours?" Brian grinned and turned his attention back to the dog, making little yipping noises at him under his breath.

He laughed at the way the other guy was talking to Razi. Nicky automatically liked anyone that liked his dog.

"Yeah he's mine. His name is Razi and I think he liked your music,"he smiled a little moving more into the room. "I'm Nicky." He had his hands in his pockets shoulders hunching a little automatically.

"Whatta good puppy," Brian said in a low, playful voice. "This is a cool dog, man." He grinned at Nicky, still shoving Razi across the floor and making a surprised face when the dog came bounding back over.

"I'm Brian, nice to meet you." He yipped a few more times at Razi then sat back on the couch, patting the dogs head. "How long have you had him?"

"It's nice to meet you too,"he gave him another smile.

"I got Razi when we were in Africa. I bought him when we went to a village. It was the same place I got my pipe."

Brian had always been an animal person. He felt a sense of kinship toward them. While he adored dogs, he had a nearly pack-like relationship toward cats. Playing with the puppy made him miss Jimmy, the twenty two pound Maine Coon he had back in Boston.

Listening to Nicky speak, Brian was a little confused. His speech patterns were sort of child-like, but he definitely wasn't a kid. "Cool, cool. Africa, huh? Anything weird like this age crap happen in Africa?" He looked down at Razi chewed lightly at his fingers, grinning at the dog. He made little 'omnomnom' noises, then pulled his hand away, petting the dog once more.

Nicky enjoyed cats more than dogs normally but Razi was his dog and that made him special. He moved in more sitting on the floor by the dog.

"Kind of. A bunch of people switched powers and that was really crazy." Nicky reached out rubbing the puppy's ears thoughtfully.

"Huh, switching powers... That doesn't sound fun." He grinned at Nicky as he sat on the floor by Razi. Brian sat back on the floor as well, still petting the dog. It was when Nicky reached out and pet Razi's ears that he noticed Nicky's claws.

"No shit dude!" He flexed his fingers and popped his claws from his fingers, holding up a hand to show Nicky. "No way!" He'd never met any other mutants like him before, and now to have met three others was incredible.

Nicky stared at the claws in surprise besides his family he didn't know of anyone with claws quite like that. "I'm supposed to have claws like this."

He bit his lip thoughtfully wondering if it meant anything.

"I've never met anyone else with claws before... That Victor guy I met had them, but he didn't seem too interested in talking about it." Brian shrugged, grinning at Nicky. "It's pretty cool, though, that there are people like me here. I haven't met anyone else before now."

"Coming here was the first time I met anyone that was really like me besides Jason,"he nodded a little giving him a smile,"Victor was the first person I met with claws like mine but I knew he'd have them."
