So, a week after a member here urged me to sign hubby up for linkedin, he has a job. He will be making a hair above what he made before he was laid off, and this place seems a lot nicer (so far.) It was a strangely rigorous application process for the kind of work he does (prepress at a printshop), but they told him it was because they like to keep people a long time and want to ensure a good fit with the company. He had to take some SAT style tests. He saw the scores today, and he got 99% on them. The president was talking to him and said "you know you are smart, right?" My hubby IS very smart but he doesn't think so most of the time, and it was nice that he got to hear it from someone besides his wife/family.As for me, I am going to continue applying for Phlebotomy jobs (certified but no experience) and I will be attempting to sell my lampwork glass beads on ebay.
success,
yay
