Just out of curiosity, how important has your guy's college degrees been when it comes to finding jobs? I want to go into sociology (I have about a year and a half before I need to declare a major), but right now I make money through selling things I make by hand, and in the future am hoping I'll able to live off of it/expand into different things.
And because this post is a bit off topic:
Underemployed here! I work part time with terrible hours/under minimum wage because I can't find a job without a lot of job experience on hand, and the conditions are pretty grody. It's a food industry job (one of those cutesy little cafes) and there's absolutely no detergent, soap, we're not allowed to use paper towels to dry our hands to save money, and the rags that we use to wipe the tables are used to wipe everything else. It's a horrible, horrible place. I'm trying to apply to franchise places like Kohl's but everything is electronic, and it's hard to get an interview/job if you're not able to show someone you're competent, even though you don't have a lot of job experience.
Thanks in advance!
