Does it totally bore you if I just repeat myself and say how utterly beautiful I think this is? And I have to admit that usually, I'm not a huge fan of baby fic. But the way you create alternate virtual realities is just AMAZING! (And yes, I did lose myself in Cora Clavia's stories and I loved them, too, especially since they were EXACTLY what I had always imagined they should be, but *yours* - it's a marvel!)

Nope, not at all. :)

Honestly? I'm not usually a fan of babyfic either, but I couldn't let this idea go...

I'm glad you're giving it a chance. :)

Oh, definitely! Even though I'm almost scared to read on, knowing what's to come .......

OOoo, still soo good!

just two things I noticed that slightly disturbed me from the otherwise flawless reading - 1/i dont think you can really determine a baby's sex at 13weeks by using an ultrasound,2/if they were in the freezer, might that not inprint on kate (and her childs life) even more than the cobalt scare? just saying. :) otherwise, still loving it to bits! yay, glad the whole story is already out.;)

Never being pregnant myself (and never planning to be), I did a lot of research for this. What I found said you could determine sex at 13 weeks, but if it's too distracting, I might remove it anyway.

And the freezer... yes. Possibly. But it would depend on things like how cold her core temperature became and how badly blood flow was affected. Generally in hypothermia you lose the limbs first and the trunk and brain remain well permeated... Like I said, lots of research. Not everything went into the story and, I think, for good reason. There's no way to make 'permeated' sound poetic. ;)

Having said that, I'm always up for a discussion, and I'm glad you shared your thoughts about it. :)

Just saying, you know, as a thought. About that baby sex thing, as far as I know, most docs determine that in about 5. month, and even that, its not always sure from the ultrasound, since you have to rely on literaly seeing the sex, lol, so it can happen the doc tells you you will most probably have a girl, because he simply couldnt see the little guys equipment and you may end up with a boy, but my friend, for example, got a good guess, its mostly acurate, depends on the skills of the doc too, and course the further along are you, the more accurate the guess. I dont know if its 'possible' to determine sex at 13 weeks though, maybe it is, its just not done that soon mostly. But there are always other methods, popular gets the determination of sex from a blood sample, though its not a common procedure just yet, more of a perk for impatient parents, and i think that can be determined very early in a pregnancy ( ... )
