Apparently I do not know when my anniversary is. On the way home from dinner at
Solo Reuben claimed we got married on Gimmel Elul (how does one write that?) or the third of Elul and I was positive it was the second. According to our invitation, Ketubah, and last year's calendar I am wrong. Still I'm convinced it was the second. And there is no way Reuben is right because he claims we got married under the chuppah which started after sunset and therefore on Daled or the fourth of Elul. I say we got married when the ketubah was signed which was before sunset and dated accordingly.
So sorry
debsters1101! But our anniversaries and babies are still very parallel, bH!
Now that I think about it if we were under the chuppah after sunset on Sunday then the shevah brachos were said there and at benching on the same day (which is allowed) and we had one sheva brachos each day from Monday through Thursday, but we only had one Shabbos shevah brachos at lunch. So did we miss a day?
I'll let you know next year if we get this sorted out. I do know that I ate more than I could ever imagine as in:
Savory porcini mushrooms soup, caramelized vidalia onion, white truffle essence (licked the bowel clean)
Risotto with Truffle Oil (some had to be taken home)
Dry-Aged Solo Cowboy steak (to the bone)
Some weird hazelnut dessert that isn't on their online menu and was not very good so I only picked at it
When I ordered the soup and then the risotto the waiter was like "it is a small portion should I double it" and I was like "oh no I am also having steak". I just would have enjoyed things just a bit more if I didn't look at the bill and didn't get into a fight with the parking meter. Se la vie. Happy Anniversary to Us!
