I went to my orientation at the Animal Shelter so I could start walking dogs. I thought this would be a great way to interact with animals (since I can't have my own at the moment) and to get some exercise. Orientation was fine. Then I went and got the first dog. LOL That's funny! I'm glad the dog wasn't hard to catch.

How old do you have to be to walk the dogs? The girls want to do volunteer work, but they told me they have to be older to do anything at the local animal shelters.

To volunteer at the shelter you have to be at least 12 years old and a parent has to accompany them until they are 15. It's a really nice place to volunteer and they really appreciate you.
