Ground Rules: The first player of this "game" starts with the topic "5 weird habits you posses" and people who get tagged need to write a LJ entry about their 5 quirky habits as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next 5 people to be tagged and list their names.
I read this wrong at first and listed five BAD habits... so I'm editing now!
1. I'm like Tupelogirl... I apologize to inanimate objects when I run into them. I also say excuse me when I'm all by myself and sneeze or something. I will also sometimes find myself passing off a smile to a manequin or something ridiculous like that which always makes me feel like a dolt when I realize I'm doing it! Today, I smiled at a life-sized fake Santa that is in our school's PTA room. What an incredible nerd I am.
2. If I'm approaching any kind of major event or serious talk or anything I will lie awake in bed for hours playing over every possible scenario in my head. I will also do this after something has happened and think of all the ways I should have handled things or what I should have said. I just wish I could drop things more easily. I don't think this is necessarily a weird one, but it drives me nuts that I do this.
3. I like to do things in threes: I always use three paper towels to dry my hands in public restrooms, if I am taking some chips from a bag I will take three at a time, I knock on doors three times, etc. I've always done this.
4. I spell check every email I send out and get really ticked off if I realize I made a spelling or gramatical error. Drives me nuts! And, I get really annoyed when I get emails at work that aren't spelled correct (could care less about personal emails though) or if I'm reading a book and find a mistake. I think this comes from having a former copy editor as a mother!
5. When I am really sick or upset I like to go in and lay on my bed and tuck my knees underneath me and curl up so that I'm basically in the fetal position with my knees underneath me. When I was little my father used to say, "Uh oh, there's a full moon in Jessica's room so something is seriously wrong!"
