What a complicated written language this "English" is. So many sounds that sound like each other, rather than the straightforwardness of single-character words.
On the bright side, there are fewer characters to memorize. In comparison, the vast amount of characters in my own language must seem overwhelming.
Ms. Frizzle is an excellent teacher, to have been able to plant some something worth knowing in this old head of mine. I fear that soon I shall have to honor her time - and embarass myself - by attempting to write an entry rather than simply speaking it. Doubtless I will be less than eloquent when that time comes. I hope the community won't think any less of me for it. There are so many bright young individuals here that this old man is rather put to shame in comparison . . .
All self-consciousness aside, it is always a pleasant thing to be reminded that one is never too old to learn something new.
