What a wonderful surprise it is to have a day honoring fathers fall on my country's most important holiday. Lilo, thank you for the thoughtful card and present. Nani, your celebration was a wonderful gathering, and Sorata, your cooking is excellent as always. Thank you all for your hard work

Well, I'm always happy to hear more! I don't have a family, right? So this stuff is pretty cool to me.

A similar event took place when I met my nephew Zuko for the first time. Of course, my eyebrows were thicker than Ozai's at the time, enough to withstand a baby's sneeze. And there was no yelling.

I guess it's not all fun to be royal, then. Occupational hazards...

Fun - about as fun as to be in any other noble family, I suppose. It's always a challenge among nobility to shoulder the burden of leadership, but of course, the safety and support of the people have in the past made the position worthwhile.

At least we are always more prepared for sons and daughters who are apt to accidentally play with fire. Parents who are not expecting it can be caught terribly off-guard, but fortunately, childrens' fire is generally not hot enough without training to cause too much damage too quickly.
