summer plans - finally
I'm a planner for the most part and have been feeling out of sorts because we have taken days off while Daulton is out but have no actual plans. Finally, I've managed to nail down what we're doing for at least the week we're off. I have this need to have activity for him to ensure he has a good time and will want to come back for at least another year. Of course, seeing his dad is good enough for him but being 14 we know that the novelty of spending most of his summer with us is coming to a close. Friends and girls will take our place soon enough.
We've booked out in Fairmont for 5 days. It will be awesome. We're going to float around in the hot springs, hopefully rent a canoe and do a little hiking. I can't wait. Alex will have a blast I know.
This weekend we're headed out to Carseland where we're going to camp for the weekend. Apparently there's some sort of river-type body of water that you can just float down so we went to Canadian Tire last night and picked up a couple of inflatable boats and a lifejacket for Alex. I'm looking forward to everything but putting the lifejacket on her - she hates them!
