Summary: Anew meets the werewolf and bounty hunter
Anew was walking around the village enjoying the weather. She was enjoying her time on the island at least at the moment. She didn't have anywhere she had to be at the moment so she was exploring a bit.
Jon and Samus were crossing the village on their way back from the housing goods and clothing stores. He didn't do much shopping himself, but Samus had developed a likeing for it. Perched on the blondes shoulder Arthur was simply enjoying the ride and being out and about. So many things to see... oooh someone new. He chirped when Anew came into view through the huts.
Anew blinked at the people coming towards her. Was that a werewolf? She blinked again. They weren't supposed to actually exist. She had to push that to the back of her mind. Her mind was far too logical thanks to what she was. "Hello," she said, smiling a bit. She spotted the little creature riding on the woman's shoulder. It was adorable.
"Hi there. You must be new to the island. I'm Samus, this is Jon" Samus smiled at Anew, reaching up and strokeing Arthurs ears when he chittered again. "Ok.. I'm getting to you too little one. This is Arthur."
"It's nice to meet you," Anew said. "I'm Anew Returner." She smiled. "Arthur is adorable."
"It is nice to meet you too." Jon said. Wanting to say hello Arthur moved down Samus' arm, long ears perking as Anew talked about him. Yes, he knew he was adorable, Samus had pictures of him cuddled with some plush animals to prove it.
Anew held out her hand for Arthur to sniff her hand. Oh, now she remembered. Pluto had mentioned the werewolf who worked at the cafe. "You work at the cafe, right?" she asked Jon.
Chittering happily, Arthur sniffed at her hand and nuzzled to it lightly. "Yes, I do." The werewolf answered with a smile.
Anew smiled, petting Arthur. "And where do you work?" she asked Samus.
"I'm at the housing goods store." Samus replied, smiling as Arthur sucked up the attention. "When I'm not in the hanger or out at the training area."
"That's good. I don't know where I'm supposed to work yet so I've been helping Lyle repair his Gundam."
"Thats fun. How are the Haro's enjoying the hover platforms I put together for them?" Asking as Arthur hopped over to Anew's arm, perching easily.
Anew blinked, not having expected Arthur to move over to her arm, but she smiled and pet him. "They seem to enjoy it. They are making good use of them for the repairs. Sometimes when they are done with repairs, they'll take them for a... I guess the word is joy-ride around the hangar before returning them or giving up to another Haro to take over."
Samus giggled. "Yeah, the Haro's like playing tag." "Which is why the platforms can't leave the hanger." Jon chuckled. "We can only handle so much chaos."
Anew chuckled. "That's good. Them playing tag on the ground can be bad enough. Flying around the village would be a bad idea."
"Oh yeah." Samus nodded, smiling as Arthur snuggled against Anew lightly. "More from your world keep arriving." Jon commented, unable to catch the mix of her's and Lyles scents. "It's good they have company."
Anew nodded. "It was nice being able to arrive here and already have friends here. I guess it is probably the same for the Haros since they seem to be social beings."
"Truth be told, many of the people here are social beings too." Jon said with a smile. "With a few exceptions."
Anew chuckled. "I believe it, but one probably wouldn't expect foot tall robots to be social beings." She skritched Arthur behind the ears gently.
"The programming kinda pushes them into that, really." Green eyes closed as she scratched Arthur, the fox-squirrel chittering contently. "From what I saw of it to make things mesh with the controls for the platforms at elast."
Anew nodded. "That is true." She smiled at Arthur chittering. "You're just a talkative little thing."
"He has a lot on his mind, I think." Jon said. "He likes to talk to me when I'm cooking."
"That's cute," Anew said, petting the fox-squirrel. "Maybe he's trying to find out what you are doing... or trying to help you with the recipe."
"You never know." Admitting as Arthur chittered again. "Give this place time and I wouldn't be surprised if the pets do start talking."
"This place that odd?" she asked. She hadn't really seen anything that odd.
"You missed the week when all of the Gundams were alive." Samus put in. "My power suit was roaming around on her own too."
Anew blinked. "The... Gundams were alive? How...?"
"They just were." She shrugged. "No one could really explain it."
"Oh... okay. I guess one of things I need to get used to around here."
"Giant robots, guardians, fox-squirrels, werewolves in the cafe.." Samus giggled.
Anew chuckled. "That is true... though none of those seem to be bad," she added scratching Arthur again.
"One reason why we like this place." Jon commented. "Minus a few things it is enjoyable being here."
"That's good," she said. "Even though I haven't been here long, I'm enjoying it."
"Weve been here for a few years now. I hope your here to enjoy it for a while too." Samus said as Arthur licked Anew's fingers and then hopped back across to the hunter.
Anew smiled. "I hope so too. That way I'll get to spend more time with Lyle."
"I'd hate to keep you from that." Jon's tone was teazing as he smiled.
Anew blushed slightly then smiled.
"We'd better get home, Jon's makeing dinner." Picking her bag back up Samus smiled, settling Arthur back onto her shoulder.
Anew nodded. "Well, it was nice to meet you."
