Summary: Feldt goes to talk with Nagi and see how he's doing.

It had taken Feldt a long time to figure out where Nagi was staying at. She was beginning to worry about him since he hadn't been at the arcade when she went to go talk to him about the Haro programming. She eventually found the hut without the help of her Haro or having any of the others following her. Lifting a hand, she knocked on the door and called out, "Nagi?"

Nagi had been napping on the couch when he heard a knock at the door, followed by his name. Against his better judgment he sat up and opened the door with his telekinesis, managing a weak smile for Feldt when he saw that she was the one there. Her face was one he didn't mind seeing, since they were supposed to be working on the Haro programming together. "You can come in."

"Are you feeling ok?" She asked as she walked inside. She was worried about him. "I haven't seen you around."

"I've been exhausted." Which was the truth, just not all of it. He certainly looked it as he lay back down on the couch. "Schuldig's trying to teach me something so I don't electrocute anyone on accident. But I'm always tired now."

She could only nod a little bit. She didn't really understand how he was able to do that, but if he was able to keep from hurting someone, she could understand. "It's nice seeing you again."

Nagi managed to keep a hint of a smile on his face, in a surprising show of emotion for him. "Thanks, I think. Someone from your world's living here, too. Just don't know if you get along with him or not."

She blinked. "What's his name?" She had a bad feeling about this. There was only one person from her world that she didn't really get along with because of something that happened before she arrived.

"Lyle Dylandy." Nagi wasn't going to say any more than that, simply because he had a decent talk with the Meister at one point and that revealing what he really was would cause quite a few problems. That was definitely better left unsaid.

She froze. It was Lyle. She didn't know if Nagi knew about what had happened before she had arrived, but she didn't really want to stick around too long if Lyle was going to be here as well.

Nagi noted the changes in Feldt's body language, slowly sitting up. "Want to talk outside?"

"Please." She said, looking down for a moment.

"It's fine." Nagi got up, making his way to the door. "I should be fine if we're sitting down."

She nodded, following him. "I had a disagreement with Lyle before I came here." She said quietly.

Nagi sat down on the ground outside the hut, leaning against the wall. "Doesn't surprise me. I get the feeling he had to do a lot of stuff to show that he wasn't his twin."

She nodded as she sat down close to him. "He did." She wasn't going to elaborate. She didn't want to get Nagi mad at him too and she was sure that Lyle would get into trouble here eventually.

Nagi shrugged, somewhat pleased to know that he was right, and that was enough for him. He really wasn't sure what to say at this point, conversation not being one of his strengths.

"Have you been able to work on any code for the Haros?" She asked, looking over at him.

"Some, but not much. It's hard right now." And next to impossible when you're worried about electrocuting the laptop... was his thoughts, but he wasn't going to broadcast that out loud.

She nodded a bit. She could understand if he was busy working on something else. She had several things to do as well. She was teaching a class now and had to keep things going for that.

Nagi was not the type to admit anything right away, especially not to those who were likely to worry about him. Although, he could understand if she was becoming busy now that she was on the island for a while. "Schuldig's not drinking as much now. It's scary."

"I haven't meet Schuldig yet, but I guess if he's not drinking as much its' a good thing?" She offered.

"As long as I've known him, he's been the type to drink on a regular basis." Nagi mused, thinking back to when his teammate had also 'dumped' German into his brain just so he didn't have to speak Japanese all the time. "He's a telepath and was going crazy with everyone's thoughts in his head."

"Oh." She said, looking over at him. "I hope things are getting better for him."

"They seem to be. He's not drinking as much, so he must be keeping others' thoughts out of his head." Nagi sighed, not really sure how to take this new Schuldig. He was certainly more mature than he was in the past, and that alone was scary.

She nodded. "Drinking all the time isn't always the best of things to do."

Nagi had a haunted look on his face at that, as if he really needed to be told that. He simiply nodded, "I already know that."

She looked down, she didn't know anything about Nagi's past, but she knew what Sumeragi did a lot and she didn't like it much.

Nagi wasn't quite comfortable enough with Feldt to talk to her about his past, especially as the scars on his back started throbbing with phantom pain. He shook his head, trying to clear the memories out with the action.

She decided to change the subject. "I've got a chess program created for the Haros."

"Really?" That brought Nagi out of his memories, and giving him something else to focus on. "How well does it work?"

"It works well on my Haro, but I don't know how to play very well." She admitted with a small smile.

"I could give it a shot if you like." Nagi smirked, having no problems with chess. Sure, there was no way he could beat some people he knew, like Crawford, but he wasn't all that bad at it.

She nodded. "I'll bring Haro by sometime." She smiled again. It would be interesting to see if the program was good or if it needed some editing.

Nagi nodded, "That works for me. It'll give me something to do since I can't do much."

"I'm sure that my Haro will be able to tech it to the other Haros once all the bugs are worked out."

"And it's safer than them playing tag, or trying to talk to the arcade machines."

"They'll still probably play tag and talk to the other machines. They tend to do that."

Nagi sighed, shaking his head. It was the Haros talking to machines that really got to him more than the playing tag, since he could always just shove them out of the way.

She would need to go and work on their code some more so that they wouldn't be such a bother to everyone else when they played.

Nagi leaned back against the outside wall of the hut, needing the support right now. "Feldt...do you talk to Neil at all now that you and him are both here?"

She nodded. "I do. It's been a while since I've talked with him though."

"Can you take a message to him, please?" Nagi looked over at the girl, a strangely haunted look coming across his face before his usual bland expression came back. "Let him know that I'll be back to work when I can."

She nodded. "I'll make sure he gets it."

"Thanks." That was one thing off Nagi's mind, at least. Too many more things to go. "I can't come to work like this."

She nodded slightly again. "I understand. I'm sure he'll understand too."

"I'm sure he will too..." Nagi let his thoughts trail off for a moment, managing a hint of a smile. "He's good at that."

She smiled at him. "He is."

"Still, thanks. I owe you for this."

She shook her head. "Don't worry about it."

Nagi shook his head, not used to the idea of someone willing to do something for free. Even with his time on the island, he only opened up to a few people, expecting to return a favor for a favor.

This was something simple that could be done easily, she didn't think that he owed her anything for it.

"If you need something, let me know. I'll be back at my room once Schuldig decides I've had enough training to not be a danger."

She nodded, standing up and then offering him a hand to help him up.

Nagi looked at Feldt for all of one second before taking her offered hand, very faint smile on his face. For once, he actually looked closer to the nineteen year old that he was.

She pulled him up and smiled again. "It was nice seeing you again."

"Same here," Nagi nodded.

"I'll stop by sometime soon and maybe we can work on the Haro code." She said, starting to move in the direction of her hut.

Nagi nodded, heading back inside the door of the hut. "I'll look forward to it. See you soon, hopefully I'll be feeling better."

"I'll see you later then." She said as she turned to walk away

Nagi headed inside after watching Feldt head out, nearly falling back onto the couch when he made it to the living room. Seeing a friendly face again was worth the exhaustion.

nagi, feldt
