Seras yawned as she headed back to her hut, Harkonnen slung over her shoulder. Opening the door, she toed off the sandals she'd taken to wearing. "I'm home..."
Momiji had just finished taking a nice hot shower and came out in clean, comfy clothes. He smiled brightly when he heard the door open and Seras call out. He ran out to glomp her happily, which would make him a rabbit again, not that he minded. "Welcome home!"
She stopped him with an outstretched hand, smiling at the boy. "Let me put Harkonnen away first, Momiji. Then you can give me a hug."
He laughed and stepped back. "Ok!"
The Draculina grinned, heading to her room. "What have you been up to?"
Momiji trailed after her, bouncing on his feet every few steps. "I've been enjoying the snow! It's so pretty here."
"It is," she agreed full heartedly. "You should see the snows we get in England."
He smiled. "I've not been to England, the closest I've been is Germany. We get a lot of snow there too." He nodded happily.
She opened her door, going in. "Germany?"
Momiji went in after her. "Yeah, I'm half German, and lived there for a bit before we moved back to Japan."
Leaning Harkonnen against a corner, she turned around and ruffled his hair. "That explains this then."
He laughed cheerfully. "Yep!"
Smiling, Seras opened her arms. "Alright, now you can hug me."
Momiji cheered and launched himself into her arms.
She caught him with a laugh, gathering the rabbit into her arms.
The white furry rabbit happily wiggled his ears and snuggled as best he could.
Giggling, she walked over to sit on the unused bed. "You know, you don't have to keep sleeping on the couch."
He blinked up at her cutely. "I don't mind, the couch is comfy!" He still thought she was using the bed.
Seras tapped his nose, knocking her foot against the coffin on the floor. "I sleep in this thing."
Momiji wiggled his nose at the tap then looked at the coffin curiously. "That can't be comfy though.."
"I don't have a choice," she said. "I've put all sorts of pillows and blankets in there now, so it's not bad."
"Oh.." He looked briefly sad at that thought, before cheering up quickly. "So you don't mind if I sleep in here too?" He really didn't like being alone if he could help it.
"Not at all," Seras said, rubbing between his ears. "I don't think I snore."
Momiji cheered and wiggled his ears happily. "I wouldn't mind even if you did!"
"It's a plan then." She giggled at the way his ears moved. "Just don't worry if I sneak out at night. It's when I hunt."
He gave her a bunny smile. "Ok!"
Seras yawned, covering it too late.
Momiji snuggled against her. "You can take a nap, if you want. I'll be ok!"
"Do you want me to take you back to your clothes?" she asked. She would welcome him to join her, but wasn't sure if he wanted to.
His ears twitched and he nodded. "Yes please, I've already had a nap today." An unplanned one, but playing in the snow was tiring! "And I should get some more clothes.."
Nodding, she carried him back around the coffin, picking up the scattered clothes. "I'll leave you in the bathroom so you have some privacy when you change back."
Momiji smiled. "Thanks!"
"You're welcome."
He hopped down from her arms and wiggled his ears at her. "You sleep well, ok?" It would be a few minutes before he changed back.
She knelt down beside him. "Stay bundled up if you go outside." Standing, she slipped out of the room back to her own, opening the coffin lid and lying down. She left it open.
"I will!" He called after her. He started hopping around the bathroom as he waited, bored.
