Summary: Link meets one of the island's new inhabitants.

Link was walking through the village. He'd walked past what was left of the cafe and just shook his head. There were some things and types of people he felt he would never understand.

Well, well, well, look at all the pretty people they had in this world. Maybe it wasn't a bad choice for Fate to take him. Now all he needed was to find a bar and he was set. Fuck, he missed Tortuga.

Settling his blade across his shoulder Link took a last look at the cafe and went along his way. He didn't have much to do today so he was simply walking around the village.

"Well, hello there mate," Luxord said grinning. He was dressed head to toe in black despite the warm weather and grinning happily.

"Hello." Link returned, looking at the man. He did not recognize him so he must be another new arrival.

Luxord grinned sizing the blond up. A little young perhaps, but better than nothing.

Link lifted an eyebrow, shrugging and going on his way when Luxord said nothing.

"Aw, don't run away, mate," Luxord said with a pout.

"I am not running away, I am simply walking through the village."

"No, but you're walking away from me."

"We exchanged greetings, you said nothing else, I assumed you were done speaking."

"I'm sorry, I just like to see who I'm speaking to before I open my mouth," Luxord purred. "And in your case I was struck speechless."

"I see, you seem to have found your voice again."

"Yes, well I didn't want to lose sight of your beauty."

Link lifted an eyebrow, that was new.

"Something wrong, mate?" Luxord asked looking a tad amused.

"No, nothing is wrong." Link shrugged. "You are new here?"

"Well, well, aren't you the forward one," Zechs said with a grin.

"It is simply a polite question. I have not seen you on the island before."

"Would you like it better if I was new?" Luxord asked. "Because I can be if that floats your boat."

"I am not sure what you mean by that, but if you are new then the island brought you here recently."

"Fate is what brought us together," Luxord replied. "Not some island. I threw myself on the jaws of destiny and here I am."

"The jaws of destiny.. I simply walked through a portal and arrived here."

"I like mine better. Far more dramatic don't you think?"

"If drama is your sort of thing. To each his own." Link shrugged.

"Games are my thing actually," Luxord replied. "I'm a bit of a gambler."

"You will have a hard time with that here. Unless you gamble with your life and limb in angering people on the island by burning things down," Link gestured over to the remains of the cafe. "there are few other ways to gamble here."

"There's always strip poker," Luxord replied with a grin.

"I do not care for card games."

"Aw, what kind of games do you like then, mate?"

"I train, I swim, I fish from time to time. So far as I know those are not games."

"Anything can be a game if you do it right."

"I suppose so." Link replied.

Luxord just grinned. "Besides, all work and no play..."

Link just looked at him, not getting the reference.

"Makes Jack a dull boy," Luxord said brushing some imaginary lint off the blond's shoulder.

"Ah." Link glanced at his shoulder where Luxord brushed nothing off of it. "I do not know any Jack, but I am called Link."

"Luxord," the blond replied grinning at him.

"It has been pleasant meeting you."

"And you as well," Luxord said.

luxord, link
