Summary: Link and Midna talk at the training grounds.

Midna was sitting up at the training grounds, thinking to herself partially wondering if she should practice. But for the moment, she was just enjoying having found a space to herself.

Carrying his bow, Link made his way out to the training grounds. He wanted to keep up his skills even with this place being as peacefull as it had been. Comming into the grounds he spotted Mina and he smiled. "Hello."

Midna looked over at him and smiled slightly at him. "Hello, Link."

"What brings you out here?" The answer might have been obvious but he felt it was polite to ask. Setting down his bow and quiver.

"I was just enjoying the space for now...deciding whether to do some practicing."

"Do not stop on my account. I only need one target."

Midna chuckled. "I see that."

Link smiled, stringing an arrow on his bow.

Midna looked over and using her powers created a target some distance away from Link.

Takeing a few seconds to adjust for the distance Link let the arrow go, nodding lightly when it thudded into the target near the middle.

"You still haven't lost your touch," Midna remarked, creating another target further away then the first one.

"I hope I would not in just a few months." Aiming at the new target he let another arrow go, strikeing the target near the middle again.

Midna shrugged. "You never know." A third target appeared. "You could have just completely slacked off," she added with a smirk.

Link shook his head. "Not with helping put the kingdom back togeather after everything was over." He fired again. "I hope you did not just slack off."

Midna chuckled. "Of course not." Using her powers, she sent the three arrows back over to Link so he could reuse them again.

Link smiled and took the arrows out of the air. "I guess a real test would be if this island had some sort of dungeon we had to clear out."

Midna laughed. "I haven't seen one unless you were crazy enough to want to check for monsters in the volcano."

"It could be worth a look." Link chuckled. "I noticed all of my equipment arrived here."

"That could be interesting...if nothing else we camp out in the woods and see what happens," she remarked, creating another target for Link.

"Have some roaming Goblins arrive and it would be like old times." Link returned her smirk, sending an arrow at the new target.

Midna nodded. "It would be."

"There are several other swordsmen on the island, I have noticed. Perhaps I should try to train with one of them to improve my skills."

Midna nodded, randomly floating up into the air and lounging back as though she were sitting in a chair. "I've met the one named Alberich. He's a trainer at swordsmanship in his world. I think he would be good to practice with. I know of only one other swordsman and he seems to be prone to anger which affects his fighting."

"Hmm.. I would prefer not to train with someone like the angry one." Link said and aimed another few shots. "I will have to speak with this Alberich then."

Midna brought up more targets for Link and nodded. "That would probably be best."

Hitting the targets Link used the last of the arrows in his quiver.

Midna also returned those to Link as well.

He returned those arrows to his quiver. "What can you tell me about the others here?"

"About which ones?" Midna asked. "Any particular group?"

Link sat down on a boulder. "The wolf that works in the cafe, he has seemed different these last few weeks."

"I think he is exhausted. One of the women known as Guardians has recently come into her powers. I felt it when they first arrived, but it has barely affected me. Her powers are destruction and rebirth according to the woman who is her protector so anyone sensitive is being effected."

Link looked up at Minda. "I remember being able to feel things like that when I was a wolf.. you think he is effected by it?"

"I'm fairly certain that he is. She's too strong for her own good, unfortunately."

Link nodded. "That is too bad, she seems like a sweet girl."

Midna nodded. "She is. It's her powers that aren't."

"I am just a swordsmen and a forner goat herder. I would offer to help if i could."

Midna nodded. "You are the type...And a former wolf," she added with a smirk.

"Even if I catch myself turning in circles once in a while before I go to bed?"

Midna burst out laughing.

Link smiled and laughed as well.

Midna smirked.

link, midna
