Summary: Star Maker and Venus have a friendly spar.

Star Maker sat on the ground in the training grounds. She had her back to a rock, and eyes slightly shut. Ever since Saturn's powers had awoken, she had felt weak and her own power threatened to go haywire. She had put on a front with Treize when she had seen him yesterday, pretending everything was alright. It wasn't though... That's why she was hidden here, incase she did loose the grip on her power, and it went everywhere.

Feeling the need to release some pent up energy that was building in conjunction with the recently awakened Senshi, Venus turned and headed for the training grounds as well. She was feeling somewhat overwhelmed as well, but finally realized what was going on with her own powers once she figured out the others were faring about the same. Though, from what she'd been able to gather, Pluto had taken it the hardest.

She opened her eyes as she felt someone else enter the training grounds. "Venus..." She whispered as she rose to her feet, albeit a bit shaky.

The blond rubbed the back of her neck slightly, remembering Neptune's words back when she had first arrived with the infant Hotaru... about Sailor V's healing abilities. She wondered for a moment if she should be practicing in her other form when she was suddenly aware she wasn't alone. She turned around. "Star Maker...?" she asked.

"How're you?" She asked, one hand resting on a rock for support as she stood a few feet away from the other Guardian.

"Not much better off than the others, if you ask me," Artemis said, hopping up on the rock next to Star Maker's hand. The white cat would have frowned if cats could. As it was, his blue eyes had a very serious look in them. "I take it you've felt Saturn's awakening as well, then?" he asked the Kinmoku Guardian.

Venus blushed slightly at her cat's mild betrayal of telling her condition. Not that it mattered too much with Star Maker being another Guardian and understanding, but still...

She nodded and looked between Artemis and Venus. "Not as badly as Pluto or chaos, but it still hit me hard, since my powers deal with creation." she moved her hand and scritched Artemis' ears for a moment before letting her hand drop back to support her.

Still a cat, Artemis couldn't help but close his eyes slightly as Star Maker scratched lightly at his ears. "I'm only hoping this doesn't mean what it has meant in the past," he said.

"Is it true that Sailor Saturn only awakens when the world needs to be reborn?" The auburn haired Guardian asked quietly.

"That's the only time any of us have seen her," Venus said. "The glaive she carries can destroy entire civilizations and basically... 'reset' the world." She sighed. "I'm sure Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto are worried as well."

Star Maker sat down, one hand going to her chest. "It was a little easier when she first awoke... But now that I'm living in the same hut as her... I can barely keep my power under control."

"Because of Pluto's father, she feels it more strongly than the others, I'm sure," Artemis said, sitting next to Star Maker and curling his tail around his paws. "Your powers are centered around creation, right?"

She nodded. "Yes, half of what Saturn's powers are. They resonate with hers."

He nodded. "The same with Pluto's father..." he said, his ears flattening out to the sides for a moment. "It shouldn't take much longer for her powers to stabilize, though. Hopefully, these feelings will dissipate soon."

"Though, with Easter coming up..." She looked down at Artemis, "And Saturn's powers resonating with chaos' like they are..."

"Yes. I remember Pluto leaving with chaos last year for a while during this time." Artemis sighed softly.

"She should be stable by then, though, right?" Venus asked, sounding worried.

"I do hope so..." she whispered.

"As do I," Artemis said. He stood and stretched.

"So... is that why you were out here?" Venus asked Star Maker.

"Yeah. I can't handle it... With her power so close to mine..."

"You know... if you need to release some of it, I'm willing to spar... I could use the training. I've been away from home for so long..."

Star Maker stood up and nodded. "That might be a good idea. Artemis... You need to move."

The white cat flicked his ears forward at the Kinmoku Guardian for a moment and then hopped off the rock.

Venus smiled a bit.

"Scat cat." She chuckled.

Artemis glanced back at her over his shoulder and then flicked his tail in annoyance. "Ha ha," he said sarcastically.

The blond giggled at them.

She laughed and looked at Venus. "Are you sure you want to?"

"Sure." She smiled.

Star Maker nodded and closed her eyes for a moment. Her power went from being nearly non-existent to close to their full strength. She shuddered as she fought to keep them under control.

Venus felt the build up and stepped back slightly, filtering her own power in an attempt to help balance Star Maker's for the time being. If she was having difficulty with control, this would certainly be interesting.

The Kinmoku Guardian lowered her hands and took a step backwards. "Artemis..." she started, "Will you monitor us, to be sure neither of us go out of control?"

He nodded. "Of course."

"Thank you." She said with a smile. Star Maker looked at Venus. "Ready?"

She nodded.

"Star Gentle..." She raised one hand, a silhouette of a star appearing, "Uterus!" She threw the half powered attack at Venus.

Venus jumped, flipping backwards and to the side, managing to avoid the attack. "Crescent Beam!" she yelled, starting out small with her attacks as well.

Star Maker jumped to the side, the attack grazing her arm. She slid in the sand, coming to a crouching position. She gathered some energy into her palm and flung it at Venus.

Venus was forced to roll, feeling the energy brush her leg.

The Guardian was on her feet and running towards the other.

"Meteor Shower!" Venus yelled, bringing down a rainstorm of energy beams.

Star Maker pushed off the ground, drawing her power across, shielding her partially from the attack.

Venus used the distraction to gain a small advantage to give herself the opportunity to move.

She watched Venus for a moment and then moved backwards.

Venus settled into a stance again, watching Star Maker. She called her chain, lashing it out towards the other Guardian in an attempt to entangle her.

The tall Guardian brought her arm up, the chain wrapping around her wrist. She moved her hand, grabbing the chain and pulling.

Venus braced herself against the pull, yanking back again hard.

She allowed herself to move with it. Star Maker danced about Venus before throwing a ball of power at her.

She released the chain, the golden links disappearing as she did so, and dodged.

She pushed off the ground and ran towards Venus. Instead of throwing power, she threw a punch.

Venus yelped slightly, not having expected this to turn physical. She moved to run, then turned, bringing her leg up in a kick.

Star Maker jumped backward, a red mark sprouting on her arm.

The blond didn't give her a chance to recover, moving in quickly with another one of her Sailor V moves... a punch this time.

She moved backwards, dodging and blocking Venus' attacks.

Venus backed off when she saw her hits weren't getting through

Springing forward, she began to deliver her own array of punches and kicks at Venus.

Venus managed to block most of them, the last kick, though, sending her toppling to one side.

Star Maker moved backwards, wiping the blood that was falling down her chin.

Venus got up. "Daijoubu?" she asked, suddenly worried.

"I'm think. Are you alright?" Star Maker asked.

She nodded. "Did you want to stop? You're bleeding."

"Oh this... It's nothing."

"Sure?"

She nodded.

"Okay."

Star Maker gave her a small smile.

Venus smiled back and then slipped back into her fight stance.

"Star Gentle..." A more detailed star began to appear in her hand. "Uterus!" She threw the attack at Venus.

She dove, the attack grazing her across her back. She skidded slightly on her stomach in the sand and got up quickly.

She moved backwards, mentally cursing the soft sand as her heels dug into the ground.

"Love and Beauty Shock!" Venus gave an air kiss and a wink, surrounding herself with a circle of energy hearts before firing off the next attack.

A cry escaped her lips as the attack hit. She went flying backwards, once she hit the ground, she lay in the sand, chest rising slowly.

Artemis and Venus both ran forward. "Star Maker!"

Pushing herself up, she looked at them. "That hurt a bit more than I thought it would."

"I didn't mean to hit so hard..." Venus said. "I thought I was holding back."

"Well, if it's getting too difficult to tell what your powers are doing, then I think it's time to call a rest," Artemis suggested.

She looked at Artemis and nodded. "Yes, that would be smart."

Venus nodded. "Need some help?" she asked.

"Thank you." She smiled at Venus, "I'll need time to recover."

Venus nodded again. "We both got in some good hits." She got up carefully and then offered Star Maker her hand.

Star Maker took Venus' hand and stood. "We did... I feel better to get out some power."

She nodded. "So do I."

She nodded and brushed herself up. "I just hope no bruises show in my other form...."

Venus nodded. "Same here!"

"I don't think either of us need anyone worrying."

"No... Especially not with what's going on."

"Yes... I'd best be getting back to my hut. I have to make dinner for someone tonight."

"Oh?"

"I lost a bet with Treize and I have to make him dinner."

Venus giggled a bit.

Artemis sighed. "Venus..."

"It was fair." She shrugged.

"I'm sure it was." Venus just smiled as she walked with Star Maker back towards the village.

Star Maker smiled softly as they walked.

"Have fun tonight!" she said happily as they each headed into their huts.

Artemis just sighed.

She blushed and then hurried towards her hut.
