Summary: Wedding Rehersal
chaos looked around at everyone who was there. "Is everyone here now?" He looked to Pluto, who knew who was in the wedding party better than he did.
Pluto looked around, seeing everyone there (even if Ed appeared ready to run out of there) and ready. "Everyone is. The sooner everyone does their part in this, the sooner we can get dinner."
Riza smiled softly, glancing at Roy, and then looking down.
Winry stood behind Ed, ready to grab him if he ran. She smiled. "Well, at least you get fed, right?" she teased Ed.
Roy smiled back and then glanced at his best man. "You'd better not run away." he ordered gruffly.
Ed on the other hand, was fast asleep on his feet, snoring lightly.
Jr poked Ed, "Wake up before someone tries to shoot ya."
Citan chuckled. "I'd say it's best not do fall asleep, Edward, when the bride is packing heat."
Winry sweatdropped.
Treize sighed and went to take his place so they could get started.
"Someone is going to get shot."
Ed mumbled then looked around. "Oh. Sorry. I was up all night trying to plan the old man's bachelor party..."
chaos sighed softly. "Can we get started now?"
"Yes," Winry said. She smiled.
Negi was looking around. He had never been a part of a wedding before, and felt a bit nervous.
Marie smiled at Negi, "We do not have much to do."
Roy glared at Ed and then smacked him on the back of his head.
Ed glared back.
Winry twitched. "Stop it," she hissed at the two of them, not caring that Roy was a general in the military.
Negi looked at Marie, then nodded.
chaos sighed.
Pluto looked over at Roy and Ed, "We are not going to wait for you to finish fighting to start. If you choose to ignore us, you can stay here and not get dinner."
chaos nodded at Pluto. "The ceremony will start with Roy-san already at the altar, and Citan-sensei will already be seated. Negi-kun and Marie-chan will come out first, followed by Jr-kun escorting Winry-san, and Edward-kun escorting Pluto-san. Then I'll say a prayer."
Roy sighed. "How is my half of the wedding party shorter than Riza's half?"
Riza shrugged.
Jr crossed his arms, "Ain't my fault I'm short."
Winry put her hand over Ed's mouth to keep him from retaliating.
Citan chuckled.
Treize chuckled lightly as well.
Pluto sighed, "Can we just get the rehearsal started?"
Treize nodded for Roy to walk over and take his place so they could do the walk-through.
Marie smiled at Negi as she took her place behind Roy.
Roy took a deep breath and walked over, taking his place.
"Do we want to run through this portion before we bring out our bride?"
"You say a prayer, and then I enter. Followed by Marie and Negi." Roy said.
"How long should we wait between each of us walking in?" Winry asked.
chaos looked to Pluto. He didn't know the timing she wanted on this.
"I think one person or pair starts when the previous one has gotten halfway through the seating area, since the seating area is fairly small."
Winry nodded. "Okay... and Pluto and Ed come in last, right?"
Negi looked at Marie nervously, then suddenly looked down and blushed. Ed on the other hand was still fuming at the short comment.
Marie giggled at Negi, "You can't blush at the ceremony."
Negi nodded. "Oh. Right."
Treize smiled at Marie and Negi. "It's alright, Mariemeia."
"All right..." Marie admitted.
Negi nodded a little. "I'll be fine sir."
Treize smiled at them.
"Do we want to get into position as if we'd just come out, and then have our bride come out?"
Winry nodded. She looked at Pluto. "Where should we end up?"
"The groomsmen should be lined up on the groom's side of the aisle, with the best man closest to the groom. The same is true for the bridesmaids on the other side." Pluto smiled, "I think we should get into position."
Ed looked up at Pluto, then looked at Winry. He wanted to say something, but couldn't decide on what.
"I have a hunch that we should listen to the wedding planner. She's just as dangerous as my fiancé." Roy commented.
Riza glared at him.
Winry giggled at Roy's comment before heading over to take her spot.
Ed chuckled. He knew that glare, and waited for Roy to get his "just desserts"
Pluto glared at Roy as well before taking her spot.
Roy walked over and took his spot at the altar.
chaos nodded when they were all in position. "At this point, the musicians will start playing, and Treize-san will escort Riza-san down the aisle."
Treize offered Riza his arm.
Riza smiled at him, taking it.
Together, they walked towards the altar.
Negi was watching curiously, wondering if everyone was as nervous as he was.
Citan smiled as he watched the proceedings.
Riza took her place next to Pluto when they had reached the altar.
Ed looked at Roy. He wondered if he was ready to take the plunge, and put his hands behind his head.
"Is everyone clear on what to do up to this point?"
"Yes." Roy nodded.
Winry nodded.
"Yeah." Ed said, and shifted his weight onto his other foot. Negi just nodded nervously.
Marie nodded, not that there was much for her to do.
"Yes," Treize replied.
Riza nodded.
Jr grinned, "Yeah, I got it."
chaos nodded. "At this point, I'll give a welcome, and then ask Citan-sensei and Treize-san to come forward and light the unity candles."
Treize nodded. He stepped forward. "Those will be here next to the altar," he confirmed.
Citan stepped foward as well, nodding. "I wish Yui was here," he mused.
Treize gave Citan a somewhat curious look, but didn't pry. They could talk further over dinner if Citan wished to share.
Pluto nodded, "The ceremony itself is simple."
"After the candles are lit, I will ask Roy-san and Riza-san to take hands, and speak the vows they have prepared."
Riza blushed, holding her hand out for Roy.
Roy took Riza's hand, smiling at her.
"After the vows are said, Negi-kun will come forward with the rings, and I'll asked each of you to repeat after me."
Negi just nodded.
"After you place the rings on each others' fingers, you'll take your respective candles and light the single unity candle. And I'm sure everyone knows what comes next..."
Roy looked at Riza and smiled.
Riza smirked at Roy. "I'm sure we don't need to practice that part."
Winry giggled.
"So unfair." Roy teased as he kissed her anyways.
Ed sighed softly.
Riza was tempted to smack him (or shoot him), but decided better.
Pluto smiled wistfully at the couple.
Treize smiled as well, a distant look in his eyes.
Roy grinned at Riza.
Winry clapped a bit, still giggling.
Jr's stomach rumbled loudly, "Hey guys, can we finish up here?"
"That's all for the ceremony," chaos said.
Roy's stomach grumbled a bit. "Err.... Yeah, food sounds good."
Treize chuckled.
Ed's stomach grumbled. "Yeah, I'm kinda starving here."
Pluto smiled, "Does anyone have any questions about the ceremony?"
Winry shook her head. "Besides... I think we should ask anything over food or the rumbling interruptions won't stop."
Negi shook his head, and glanced over at Marie.
Citan chuckled.
Marie shook her head, "I do not have any questions."
"I think we should retire to the cafe, then," Riza said.
Ed started to walk off. "Finally." He said.
"That sounds like a good idea." Roy squeezed Riza's hand.
Riza smiled at Roy, and then rolled her eyes at Ed. "Please remember that you are a military officer, Edward."
"I do not think he will ever grow up, Riza."
Winry caught up to Ed, falling into step next to him.
Treize stayed back for a few moments, looking out over the view their position above the lagoon offered. He then followed, lost in thought.
Jr rushed along to the cafe, easily catching up to Winry and Ed.
chaos smiled at Pluto, offering her his arm.
Negi looked at Marie, and offered his arm
Ed looked at Winry and Jr and suddenly dashed off as if in a race.
"Hey!" Winry chased after him, determined to get there first now.
Pluto took chaos' arm, smiling back at him.
Marie giggled as she took Negi's arm, "Let's go!"
Roy sighed. "Perhaps I should discipline him." he said hanging his head.
Negi smiled and nodded.
Riza sighed.
Roy smiled back at her.
"I think you should just let him have his fun," Treize said, walking behind them.
Roy glanced at Trieze. "He is only fifteen..."
Treize nodded.
"After all that kid's been through, I guess he does deserve his fun..." Roy said softly.
Riza nodded.
"It's a shame when children have to grow up too quickly," Treize said softly.
Negi, who was behind with Marie, looked over at her and smiled softly.
"It is..." chaos said quietly.
Marie smiled a little, nodding in agreement with her father's words.
"Yes." Roy agreed.
Pluto sighed, "Sometimes such things cannot be helped..."
Ed was busy racing Winry and Jr to really care about what was going on behind him.
