In the past few days I:
visited the Noto peninsula. Completely wild and uninhabited, a side of Japan I'd never before seen.
did Zazen (a kind of meditation) at a temple. Buddhism is not for me.
sat in the rain for hours watching the Gion Festival in Kyoto. My fortitude bonus is astounding -- I didn't even get a sore throat.
pulled floats for a random festival in Suzu, Noto (a small fishing town). Chatted with one of the many Chinese immigrants there. Very fun.
So now I'm pretty badly sunburnt and will be going out shopping in Kanazawa in a minute.
