Okay, so by Ten's reaction, there's a bit of a problem with Japanese text from here not appearing quite so well (EDIT: at all) as I'd hope on screens in the US. Ah well.
My mother's friend Keiko turns out to have a very rich friend with an office in Kyoto that doubles as a living space. Nobody's working here because there's a giant festival until Monday. We're off to see the temple at Nara today, which is the largest wooden structure in the world and houses the largest bronze Buddha in the world.
Last night our waiter was cute and had no idea we were talking about him. We have photos, and you can see his sweet innocence as we grab our earlobes (a cookie to whoever gets that, unless they turn their cookies off).
The G8 Summit is pissing me off. Too many stupid world leaders.
I'm off to see what I've missed online.
