01. Why is it sometimes so hard to keep a secret?

a) Sometimes we think that telling certain people secrets will help them: we're great at thinking we're the best judges of all situations.
b) The best secrets beg to be told.
c) People are natural gossipers

02. Why don't people just say what they mean instead of beating around the bush?

a) It can be hard to say what you mean, especially if you've been hurt for doing so in the past.
b) The heart is fickle and runs the embarrassment/nerves center of the body.
c) Some people just don't know how to take the direct approach without making a mess of things.

03. Why are good changes sometimes so scary?

a) Because change isn't as known or familiar as whatever is new.
b) Because change is scary, no matter the promised outcome.
c) Any change is scary because of the unknown--even good can turn bad!

04. Why do some parents leave their children in the toy aisle of a store, while they go shopping.

a) It's their version of cheap babysitting.
b) Even a minute alone is a respite worth it for some parents.
c) A few minutes of relief for them is more important than the mess said children will make of the toy isle while they are gone.

05. Why are maid uniforms so common in Japanese anime, etc.

a) They make cute characters look even cuter.
b) Subservient love interest trope or something.
c) Maids are servants and therefore submissive on some level to their employer, which is an attractive character element in many stories.

06. Why do things always seem to go wrong at work when we're hoping to go home on time?

a) Murphy's Law.
b) The universe is secretly against you.
c) Because the labor gods laugh at us.

07. Why do some people get sick so easily?

a) Some people's immune systems are great while others are constantly on vacation.
b) Immune systems gone awry by sedentary lifestyles.
c) Their immune systems aren't working as well as others.

08. Why is it hard to sleep when you aren't feeling well and need it most?

a) There is only so much "rest" most people can take before they get restless
b) Because if you're feeling sick, you'd rather be up and moving like the rest of society
c) Your brain is wonky and cannot go through its REM cycles because its stuck in survival mode.

09. Why does your body reject food while ill when it obviously needs the fuel?

a) A build-up of bile and other stomach acids pushing it back up.
b) Your body is working on overtime to make you better, so it can't handle dealing with anything else from the outside.
c) Because, while you do need the fuel, your sick body can't process it like it should quite yet.

10. Why do some people abandon their jobs? (e.g. leave without a word, then never return or call back)

a) Some people just want to watch the world burn.
b) Fear or inability to live up to their responsibilities.
c) Some people have no sense of responsibility.
