01. Why do kids and pets always try to wake you up at the crack of dawn?
a) Animals rely on the movement of the sun and moon for their "clocks," not arbitrary human time.
b) They have a different internal clock than you do.
02. Why do some people believe in turning their carnivorous pet into a vegetarian?
a) Because they are crazy and/or enjoy making their animals suffer.
b) People have weird notions....
03. Does peanut butter really have butter in it?
a) Nope. The name is from the texture and because it can be spread like butter.
b) Not that I know of.
04. Why are surprises so hard to plan and pull off?
a) It's hard to keep something hidden/contained when you're excited about it... or if the wrong person is included in the planning that cannot keep a secret.
b) Because you have to hide it from someone.
05. Why do weddings take so much planning?
a) They don't if you just go to the courthouse and have your marriage licence signed. Not many are willing to settle for that though.
b) Everything must be "perfect" according to the bride.
06. Do mimes watch silent movies?
a) Why not? They probably understand more in them than most people watching.
b) Yes... as do many other people.
07. How do you manage to finish all your projects for the day?
a) Prioritize, organize and stay focused.
b) Sleep deprivation causes more time to do things.
08. Why do people say their stomach hurts, but it just generally means their abdominal cavity?
a) "Stomach" sounds better than "abdominal cavity." The saying has been around long enough that people generally know what you mean.
b) Because human anatomy is something most people suck at.
09. Is the fear of flying groundless?
a) Yes and no. Millions of people can tell you you don't need to be afraid of flying, but that doesn't necessarily mean it will help negate the fear.
b) Sure..... Why not.
10. Why do people say “You scared the living daylights out of me” when daylight is not living?
a) Apparently the saying has more meanings than one might originally think. Either way, it's fairly common now.
b) Because "You scared the dying nightime" is weird sounding.
