Okay. I did some thinking, and I apologize to any mod not named temperamental for not consulting with them ahead of time, but given the messy situation right now (with several prize posts late, the cluster of masteries generated by changes in event badges, two missing mods), I felt we'd go insane trying to clean up if we didn't do this:

If that's when the backlog is done being taken care of, then yes. No new cards will be coming in other than cards that SHOULD have already come in (from late posts), so there is no harm done.

The only thing I'm waffling on would be chain masteries, since technically you only master a deck with choices from a mastery after the mastery has been answered, and since answering masteries is on hold, technically those cards wouldn't come in until after the post reopens (unlike masteries that aren't dependent on choice cards).

The exception to the above: chain masteries obtained with choice cards from mastery claims. Since mastery claims won't be processed until the post reopens, this means that those choice cards won't be gotten until then, and in turn it means the mastery isn't achieved until then.

Um.. what if you chain-mastered before the 25th (as per stated in the mod post yesterday)? Would those still fall under the old system? This is like a huge bomb that could potentially break a lot of gameplay mechanics and tactics that most players are using.

Any masteries before the 25th fall under the old system. This is just for chain masteries during this temporary official "hiatus" period.

And it's not a huge bomb by any means, the only thing it really takes out is the choice card from no-cert masteries. Only prizes for event badges have changed, nothing else.

Firstly, I'd like to apologise for my extended hiatus. While I have been online, I haven't been online enough to cope with tcg_exchange in the slightest bit. I'll try to get some work done after I finish working on my Computing project, but there's no guarantees I can get it done that soon.

Apart from that, I won't be around for the Chinese New Year week, basically the week starting February 2nd, I suppose D:
