Haha, I am mod post spammer

I'm here to bring you a Public Service Annouceme-- I mean, a TCG Exchange notice. Both me and neonclover have agreed on the fact that there are a certain few members who are going all out to get as many certs as possible in order for quick masteries. In fair gameplay, we don't feel that it's very fair that a few people are ( Read more... )

Woah, now that new event badge is going to be a bit tough to achieve for those who don't normally contribute to icontests/deckmaking/etc., don't you think? D: Because if the person has to participate in lots of events/icontests to get choice cards won't it be like...so many icons a week? D: But it's just an event badge, so I'm sorry if I moan/rant off here a while sorry...

Oh well...perhaps now it'll take longer to collect then~♪

Well, that's entirely the point. It's not an easy reward to earn - I've just updated this post to list what you can get, and it's a mighty fine prize for taking a long time to complete a deck! And actually, there's only so many choice cards you can get a week, so it's still going to take a long time for people who participate actively. Event badges also come with prizes, and it's all about the honour of doing it manually for a long time :).

I agree with feuillant. XD The whole point of event badges is that they're not easy to earn and you need to work hard for them. :3

NICE TYPO SELF.

Yes, they do. You can get First Mastery AND Mastery Without Certs. Though the likelihood of that happening could be pretty low, considering there might be some who'd just master the deck you want using certs before you get to it.

That basically means, if you have any certificates left right now that you've rightfully earned through prize posts or were gifted them, you can redeem them for cards all in one go, without having to go through the new two-per-week limit. It doesn't mean that you're eligible for Mastery Without Certs, since technically you used a certificate.

So is the new badge a multiple achievement?

(Also, Neon~ I need to talk to you about time zones)

Yes, it is :). It's stackable with First Mastery (lmao, I'd totally give you cookies if you managed that).

Ah, good measure. But one thing - since we can claim 3+ certificates a week (I know I got 3 Cs, for example), isn't this going to cause some people to simply build up certs without getting the chance to claim them, even if they cash in every week? Provided that they're constant voters/submitters/etc, I mean. Or did you mean the all-out cert people as those who participate to get certs and not the ones who trade for them?

Okay, Li and I just discussed this - and this is what we reached:

- you can trade in 2 Cs for 1 B at the cert redemption post once a week.
- you can't claim that B right away - you have to wait until next week.

In case this doesn't help and certs start stacking, we can review the rules. :3 We're flexible. XD

So to get the Mastered Without Certs you have to never use you your certificates or just never for the deck being mastered?

Never for the deck being mastered. :3
