So yesterday evening I went to an
intubation workshop w/ Paul at his med school. When the instructor was explaining to us verbally I had no idea what she was talking about but then we got into groups and took turns doing the
procedure on dummies, I got it done under 30 seconds flat on my first try, and I'm not even in med school. Now that's what you call emergency medicine.
The actual procedure is a bit more complicated than these pictures portray but it's the basic idea...
It was an interesting workshop, but considering I'll never be working in an emergency room to do the procedure, it'd be pretty useless for me. But heck, at least I got the procedure done faster than Paul.
