I know I haven't posted in a while, sorry about that. Things have gotten kinda crazy busy, and they'll be staying that way through December :-P Since I don't really have much to write about, I'll let you all in on some of the craziness of plans for the next few months (and please, feel free to stop reading at any point, I'd imagine it's stressful just to read about this, let alone try to plan it :-P).
Let's start with this weekend. Friday I'm getting up at the buttcrack of dawn so I can take my car in for an oil change/tire rotation (and all that jazz) at 7:30am when they open, then going to work (hopefully on time, haha). After work, I get to go home, and spend the evening doing laundry, grocery shopping, and packing. Saturday, getting up early again (woohoo) to drive down to Florida for Joel and Shosh's wedding! A whole group of us are driving down together, and for some reason I've been sort of appointed co-coordinator of the whole shebang :-P I don't know who'll end up in which car (we're taking 2 cars now, because more people joined last minute), but it'll be me, Marcus, Amanda, Pearl, Cliff, and Matt. Should make for a very...um...INTERESTING weekend :-P Anyway, it's a 7.5 hour drive down there, and then we have the rehearsal dinner Saturday night and the wedding/related festivities on Sunday. We're driving back up on Monday, probably leaving early-ish again, since Pearl and Cliff need to get back to Athens and we all have to get up for work/school on Tuesday :-P
Then I get a couple of normal weeks, YAY!
September 26-30 I am taking off work, but don't really get to relax at all. Friday we are flying down to Florida and going to Marcus's grandfather's 94th(!) birthday dinner that night. We'll be sleeping on Saturday (haha), then flying back early Sunday morning in case Marcus has to work that day. My parents are coming down for Rosh Hashanah and will also be arriving that Sunday afternoon (yikes!), and I will be spending the rest of Sunday and all day Monday helping my mom with the shopping and cooking in preparation for Rosh Hashanah dinner Monday night. Then services Monday night and all day Tuesday, and then we're going to Marcus's aunt's house for Rosh Hashanah second night dinner Tuesday night. Then it's back to work on Wednesday.
October 9 is Yom Kippur, I will be taking that day off work too, obviously.
Then comes Halloween weekend. Not sure yet how this will work out, because it's Marcus's stepbrother's Bar Mitzvah and also possibly my cousin's Bar Mitzvah. We're still working out plans for that one :-P
For Thanksgiving, we are most likely going down to Florida again (because Marcus's dad's birthday is Thanksgiving Friday this year, so he wants us to come there), assuming that somebody will pay for our flights (because neither of us can afford it!).
That's all the definite plans for right now, but then it will be December, so my birthday, Hanukkah, and the holiday season (always a little nuts).
And in the midst of all this, I am also trying to job search a little more seriously...I've been at the law firm one year tomorrow (wow!), and I'm quickly getting to the end of my boredom rope here. I'm still not sure what I want to do with my life (haha), although my latest career of the month is school counseling...but I can't go back to grad school until I'm SURE, because I just can't afford it :-P So I'm either looking for some kind of kids/school-related job (but not teaching), or I'd also love to work at Barnes & Noble, haha, although I'm pretty sure they won't hire me since I have no retail experience :-P Plus, I'm a little overqualified for an entry-level retail position. And my parents would probably not be too thrilled about me doing that, either. But we'll see what happens.
Anyway, enough with the craziness. Back to work I go...
work,
family,
friends
