I managed to squeeze myself onto my instructor's schedule today at nearly the last minute. i called the school on my lunch break because i saw a small window after work when i could fit in a lesson. we went up and i was thrilled to see, or rather, not see much turbulence at all. no thermals makes me very happy, considering i'm trying to practice ( Read more... )

the weather has not been too cooperative lately... i finally got back up in the air on labor day. it was a last minute scheduling, but when i saw that it was going to be perfect weather, i had to jump on the opportunity. i managed to squeeze into the schedule, as every other pilot found it to be perfect weather too ( Read more... )

there was a slight crosswind from the south on takeoff. my instructor went over the procedures with me to overcome the crosswind and keep a straight heading. we then jeaded south over clayton towards vineland. it still amazes me how in a matter of a few minutes, you can be flying over a town that might take 40 mins to get to by car ( Read more... )
