Tis' the day after Christmas, and all through the house, there's wrapping paper and junk spread all about. I need to clean up my mess! Christmas/my birthday wasn't anything different this year. I didn't even feel special at all! Usually I'm like "oh yeah, it's my birthday, everyone pay attention to me!", but this year it just felt like any other day :-( Is that how it's going to feel from here on out? I got a couple phone calls from my close friends, and Gina actually came over and we exchanged gifts! That really meant a lot to me. You know you have a best friend when she'll leave her family on Christmas Day to come wish you a happy birthday and get her car stuck in your driveway. It took her like 20 tries before she turned her car over to my dad. He just got right in, turned the wheel, and all of a sudden her car (aka haley) was free! She said something to the point of, "Oh Greg, you're making me look bad!". Haha I liked it.
I got a couple neat things - for my birthday, my dad gave me some money (well actually an "IOU"), and a wall clock w/ my name on it, and from my mom I got a new cell phone. IT takes pictures and it flips! WOOHOO way to go hot dog! For Christmas, I got some gift certificates to target and to Bob Evans (for Sunday brunch w/ the CAPS). I got some bras and underwear, and radar detector for my car (aka sugar nips), I got a pair of nice sunglasses, some earrings, a calligraphy kit b.c I told my mom I used to love to do that, Love Actually, the Stepford Wives, the Journey CD and Kanye West's cd (my mom thought his name was Cane), some Uggs (not real, but still nice), a burberry purse (from pat's mom), and more... I can't remember everything, but overall it was a nice christmas. We went to my aunt's in louisville christmas night and had really good food. My aunt Linda made me a cake and my uncle Gary decorated it, then everyone sang to me. They haven't done that since I was in 3rd grade or so! I was so embarrased and I always feel really bad because we never get together and celebrate anyone else's birthday, and Kristi's birthday was just 3 days before mine and no one said anything to her! Plus, I was just turning 19 - she turned 21, I think that's a bigger deal. Then of course Pat made himself comfortable on Uncle Gary's couch and fell asleep for a while. My family kept asking me if all he did was sleep :-/ Speaking of, Pat's trying to sleep in my bed right now, and he says it's annoying to try to fall asleep while I'm just typing away. So I guess I better stop typing. By the way, what's going on for New Year's?!
