“And how do you pronounce the word lovely?” Hugh asked Robert, sounding interested. It was very kind of his American colleague to help him with learning accent for House MD show.
“We normally pronounce it as [ˈlʌvlɪ].” Robert replied patiently.
“Right, this is slightly different from how we say it back in England.” Hugh commented, still sounding in his natural British soft tone.
“And how do you say the word in the UK?” Robert asked, smiling.
“Oh, we say it somewhat close to [ˈlʌfle].” Hugh politely replied.
“Does it seem odd that I have to imitate the accent playing my character?” Hugh asked thoughtfully.
“I don't know. A little bit.” Robert said and leaned his head onto Hugh's bare chest, his fingers playing with the chest hair. “I think it's enough for today, I think it's time we did something else.” Robert said quietly, smirked at him.
