She would've flashed him a great smile - seeing as he's definitely within her definition of extremely cute.

Except the situation pretty much demands she be all annoyed and irritated.

"You do realize this is kidnapping, don't you?"

[Here, have some static cause by Dean fumbling for the voice function of his tablet. He sounds half-asleep and vaguely irritated.]

Hey, sweetheart, mind keeping it down? People are trying to sleep.

Oh I'm sorry. Did my panicking and worrying for my life wake you up?

Yeah, actually, it did. Calm down, lady, you're plenty safe here.

Oh yeah, because being reassured by a weird voice coming from nowhere is very comforting!

Xander knows that voice! Sure, it's a voice that he hasn't heard in what feels like several kazillion years, but nevertheless it's still unmistakeable-- that signature tone of extreme annoyance. He knows it well. Still, it's a little surreal.

"Cordelia?"

Cordelia was a second away from opening her mouth again and screaming, but that voice--

NO.

It can't be.

But, but--

"...Xander. Oh God Xander. I've never been so happy to see a tiny version of you."

"You're happy to see me?" Yes Xander, focus on the priorities here rather than say, actually being helpful.

"...And you've seen tiny versions of me before?"

"Okay! Let's reminisce about the olden times later, shall we?" she snaps, looking around her nervously.

"Where am I? And for that matter, where are you? Please tell me you're just beyond that door."

Buffy's steadily getting used to people she knows randomly showing up in Taxon-- in fact she's beginning to think the kidnapping aliens have a thing for Sunnydale. However: Cordelia? Not somebody she was expecting. She blinks at her tablet to make sure she's not having some kind of crazy hallucination.

"Holy-- hi, Cordelia."

Okay, did that last demon they fought excrete some sort of gooey, icky substance that somehow got sprayed on her person? Maybe she's hallucinating. Maybe--

She recognizes that voice at once. Okay, maybe after a few seconds. Still, she clings to that voice.

"Buffy! Buffy I need your help!"

Under normal circumstances 'Buffy I need your help' would warrant crossbows and lots of yelling, but in this case the slayer is a lot more sedate than usual. Still, she's ready with some placating!

"Okay, Cordelia, calm down. You're safe. Not, you know... especially safe, but at a 'nothing is going to eat you' level of safe. I promise. You're in that metal chamber, right?"

"Yes," she answers quite quickly. Anything to get out of that room, really. Even without the dangers of... the eating kind, the level of creepiness does not lessen the longer she's inside it.

"How do I get back home?"

And you're really helpful. Whoever or wherever you are.

Lieutenant Colonel John Sheppard. US Air Force.

It's hard to be helpful in a place you're stuck in and have no idea where it is.
