Wesley is about to ask the platinum-haired vampire what's wrong when his eyes widen and he lets out an exclamation of his own.

"Good lord. Your reflection!"

William frowns and looks from the tablet to the mirror. "It... this isn't what I look like normally. Er, is it possibly just the reflection? I suppose you can see me through this mechanism the same way I can see you. Do I have such strangely colored hair from your perspective too?"

"You look the same as you did yesterday to me, Spike. However, it's the fact that you have a reflection at all which is so startling. Angel had one when he was in the Pylean hell dimension but that was because the rules governing our world didn't seem to apply there."

He peers more closely at the screen as if trying to discern more from observation alone.

"While you've both been able to walk under the Taxon sun without any ill-effect, I should think this is quite a new occurrence. Perhaps I ought to come to you and see if we can get to the bottom of this anomaly."

William straightens himself. "Sir, I can't say I understood even half of what you said, but I'd rather you stay away. I have no interest in discussing my well-being with a stranger who, with all due respect, seems quite mad. Of course I have a reflection, and why wouldn't I be able to walk in the sun? And what's this got to do with angels and hell?"

Wesley blinks at Spike for a moment, momentarily off-balanced by being referred to as a sir and a stranger. His manner of speech is far less colloquial and more refined than Wesley is used to as well.

This makes the ex-Watcher ponder the implications. Has Spike undergone some kind of 'glitch' as they are being referred to? Or has something even more profound than that occurred.

This person appears to have no recollection that he's a vampire, infected with demon essence. Perhaps a test is in order. But first he must gain the fellow's trust.

"Forgive me. Let me begin again. I am Wesley Wyndham Pryce. I am a...researcher of the occult and other strange phenomena. I did not mean to alarm you. However, this is not the first time we've met, and your circumstances are rather unusual. I'm assuming you have no knowledge of where you are, how you got there, or why you look the way you do."

William scoffs. "I don't believe in that sort of nonsense," he says. But then he hesitates. He doesn't remember much of last night. This man seems to know him. Maybe he knows what happened and why William is here.

"Are you in league with the woman?"

"Well, of course, few people do."

Wesley then gives him a puzzled look. "I'm sorry? Which woman?"

"The one in the stables. She was beautiful, though I don't think she was quite right in the head. She said she was going to give me something... I don't remember more than that."

If Spike really has reverted back to his human self, then perhaps he is talking of his sire. His expression furrows into a frown.

"You may be speaking of Drusilla. Tall, pale skin, long straight raven hair. You must...she's very dangerous. If you see her, you should avoid speaking to her if at all possible. I had assumed she was still locked up, but she may have escaped."

He removes his glasses for a minute to rub at his weary eyes. It's been a taxing and eventful couple of days.

"This is all a lot to take in and there is more I shall need to inform you about. Perhaps we could meet somewhere?"

"That sounds like her, and I have no intention of talking to her again." He shakes his head. "I probably shouldn't have in the first place, she was just so..." seductive? alluring? "convincing."

William hesitates. "Well, I don't know." A researcher of the occult hardly sounds like a credible source, but anyone who knows something could be helpful. Plus, this man seems to be a fellow Englishman, which is somewhat comforting. "Where?"

"Well, you could either come to my flat in the Wilde district, which is...here on your map."

He uploads the coordinates.

"Or, if you'd prefer a more public setting, I believe there is a cafe closer to where you are. I could meet you there. I have no idea if they serve a good pot of tea or not, but I suppose we could find out."
