Today on this the glorious fifteenth of April, Taxon has been in business for a full year- and so a celebration is in order, or so apparently think the hamster overlords in charge of tweaking their citizens.

The Palais Garnier is a beautiful place thus far mostly neglected by everyone who isn't its very lovely current owner, and that is a ( Read more... )

Step right this way, ladies and gentlemen- but only after the usher has checked your tablet to see who you are and make sure you're old enough to be here.

(Yes, you're being ID'd. By Extras. Cope.)

Leila wouldn't miss this if her attendance were voluntary, because she loves Sol and is the best girlfriend in the world and also it gives her an excellent excuse to troll him later on. Still, she's a little bemused by the goings-on.

Drusilla invited herself to the theatre. She'd been feeling terribly mournful lately. The city, previously so noisy and wicked, felt empty without Daddy. The tumult of emotions - excitement and embarrassment and mischief, all bubbling together like a potion in a pot - called to her from the other side of Taxon.

She'd never been very good at resisting a party.

So, Penelope's here. She's dressed like some kind of sixties go-go pinup tragedy, and she's somewhat annoyed at herself for not smoking more while outside, because she's not going to be able to in this place. It is too nice. Somebody would complain.

That said... she's not entirely sure what's going on tonight, but she's looking forward to seeing the show.

"Penelope--" Oh, god, what's going on, how did he get here? Bruce has no idea, but he's dressed nicely (those who care have seen the polyvore and I'm too lazy to dig up the link, deal), and is slightly startled at the younger woman's attire.

Without the coat, Enfys's outfit is basically 'underwear', so Penny is in fantastic company here.

...Enfys isn't being compelled, she just wanted to come along. "I love that," she declares, of the bodysuit.

"It's Agent Provocateur," Penelope replies, "or it would be if it didn't come out of a hatch. Hey, you."

That was directed to the both of you, since she can't be bothered. Also pardon her if she doesn't get up, she doesn't need to be quite as careful as she used to be with moving and everything but she's playing it safe tonight. No need to get overexcited.

"It certainly is."

Bruce still sounds a little shell-shocked, because being transported is getting old, Taxon - here, there, this house, a ball or whatever the hell this is - and it's not helping that Penelope is dressed like that. Stoic as he may be, he's still human.

"...I'm going to bet we're stuck in here." Anyway.

"I don't think I'm stuck," Enfys contributes, "I came because I wanted to."

...that's not necessarily very promising, yong lady.

And here is Levi, appropriately dressed, making his way past the ID check with flying colors and dragging Shane along with him to get the best seat in the house. Naked men performing? Psh, Levi volunteers to go to this kind of stuff. There's no forcing, here.

And here is a Shane, not complaining but not as outwardly gung-ho about everything as Levi. He follows him in, sits down and glances around for any familiar faces...

Don't ask why River showed up. (She followed other people.)

Don't ask what ID she gave the Extras. (It was a wanted poster...)

Really, really don't ask why she's sticking around after the evening's entertainment and her lack of being glitched into being an audience member becomes more obvious. Mostly that's just because she's not entirely sure herself.

Tara, at one point or another, will run into River; her attendance at the show was compulsive, at the party... mostly voluntary, in that she feels she should show solidarity for Xander.

When she sees River, she waves a little, tentatively, and says, "Hey - I never got to thank you before. For Dawn."

River is less tentative and smiles hugely as she makes her way over to Tara. She missed the full-frontal part of the evening's show (someone who shall remain named Leila had to cover her eyes) but for being a glitch, this is enjoyable and should be enjoyed.

"You forgot your lights."

"My lights?" Tara is impressed with River and incredibly grateful to her, but has no idea what she means.

biverbam April 23 2010, 03:41:58 UTC
She only nods, because she is the least helpful creature in Taxon besides the Extras. And possibly Eric.

"Lights." She means magic, specifically the spell she saw when they rescued Dawn, but then she just shakes her head. "Don't need them. The directions are implicit."

With that, she grabs some fried things on sticks from a tray and Extra is carrying by and offers one to Tara.
